Why I’m Struggling with Not Enjoying Being a Parent

Parenting is one of the most challenging yet rewarding jobs in the world. Bringing up children can be tough, and at times it doesn’t feel very enjoyable. For some stay-at-home parents, every day can feel like an endless struggle to keep your child happy, healthy and entertained all day long.

In this article, we’ll explore why being a parent isn’t always fun or gratifying (but don’t worry – it’s not just you!) From dealing with temper tantrums to sacrificing sleep, we’ll cover everything that makes parenting hard work.

The Joy of Parenthood: Expectations vs Reality

Many things are wonderful about raising kids – first laughs, hugs & kisses or milestones like taking their first steps; these moments seem priceless rewards for hours of labour dedicated by devoted caregivers. But does “parenthood” live up to its reputation?

What most people expect from parenthood:
– A cute little mini-me who loves everything they do;
– An opportunity to relive their childhood through their kid/s without having any adult responsibility;

What parenthood actually feels like on many days:

As parents, being responsible for another human life comes with multiple worries & major responsibilities including sleep deprivation! Here’s what our non-morning person thinks:

“I’m definitely grateful for my baby girls even when I am exhausted and could barely open my eyes but when they start crying out loud after midnight..well the joy snuffs swiftly”

So buckle up readers as we excape into reasons behind why things aren’t always sunshine and rainbows…

A toddler meltdown can be unavoidable regardless of where you take your son/daughter in public places causing immediate embarrassment especially if accompanied by frustrated sideglances from strangers sighs (We understand). Balancing on-edge emotions during those initial years leads us… to phase number 2.

“Being a new parent will give you something to be sleepless about for years.” – not an exaggeration. Parents of newborns and infants experience less sleep than possible; it is safe to say that we are constantly exhausted trying to keep up with kids who have endless energy coffee seems like the solution though

Oh yes, let’s all take a moment to bask in the glory of dirty diapers…the insurmountable pile after days on end; SURELY this every-day-activity leads you down memory lane!

Going out for dinner or drinks becomes more challenging due at-home responsibilities & babysitting costs seem comparable to weekly salary according some parents.This also affects social life which they may now feel called ‘overrated’ ;

Every individual has their own approach as a person let alone as a parent so why call anyone incompetent just because someone’s parenting styles differ from yours? We don’t know either but society today…judgment city!

Parenthood: It Gets Better!

Despite all these struggles, being there through happy moments dispite certain issues does bring pure joy into our lives. As months go by, children become easier to understand and manage leaving us feeling accomplished everyday 😉
