What you don t want in your shampoo?

Shampoos are a daily essential that promise to clean our hair and scalp. We all have different types of hair, and we rely on shampoos to maintain the health of our scalps. However, not all shampoos deliver satisfying results because some contain ingredients that can cause more harm than good.

Let’s face it; choosing the right shampoo can be overwhelming with countless options available in the market. But did you know there are certain chemicals and substances present in shampoos that could damage your scalp? Here is a list of things you don’t want in your shampoo:

Sulfates

Sulfates are foaming agents used commonly in shampoos, toothpaste and other personal care products. They strip away natural oils from your scalp, which could lead to dryness or irritation (especially for people with curly hair).

Parabens

Paraben is another common ingredient found primarily as preservatives to extend product shelf life. But these synthetic compounds have a reputation for disrupting hormones (talk about mood swings!) which may trigger potential breast cancer risks & skin allergies.

Formaldehyde/Formaldehyde-releasing preservatives (FRP’s)

FRPs act as great antimicrobial toxicants but also known irritants causing allergic contact dermatitis among sensitive-skinned individuals plus several other harmful effects like chest pain, wheezing or aggravation of asthma conditions etc

Silicones

Silicones create an illusionary smooth texture on your hair glossier by sealing it up being hydrophobic but creates buildup so bad making natural moisture protection outta reach leading them into extreme dullness & breakage combined(OUCH!).

Isopropyl Alcohol

It evaporates faster thus widely added as drying agents lifting hard stains but this excessive partial cleaning costs beyond just sanitizing bacteria wipes- damaging keratin bonds weakening strands making them prone to extensive breakage.

DEA, MEA & TEA

Ever noticed the pH balance on your shampoo bottle? well, these substances actually alter that balance using as foam boosting agents but when accumulated they can prove to be toxic for bodies or contribute in drying skin/hair compared to the requirement of additional better alternatives

Propylene glycol

It’s a synthetic organic compound primarily used for regulating moisture conditions. But this “slippery devil”affects several allergic individuals causing contact dermatitis leading up itching flaky scalp condition triggering irritation and inflammation- UGHHH!!!

Synthetic fragrances/parfum

Fragrance is one of those things that make us feel good like aromatherapy magic works but unfortunately, it comes with downsides. It’s not only another hormone-disrupting chemical but also unknown allergens source which could cause major allergic reactions even cancer sometimes! YIKES!

Cocamide DEA /laureth sulfates

Emulsifies & thickens liquids mostly found in hair care products but are heavily linked to several harmful substances including nitrosamines (Cancer-causing chemicals) producing due to its reaction with preservative impurities – talk about BAD CHEMISTRY!

Triclosan

Triclosan is not solely restricted shampoos but varies in personal care cleansers as an antimicrobial agent.. it sounded safe & sterile right? Unfortunately No!. It harms aquatic life so bad and possibly unchangeable DNA mutations hazardous enough moving back from regular water usage

We understand there can be many varying opinions regarding what kind of ingredients should strictly avoid in their shampoo routine yet often lacking proper awareness still gravitating towards prioritizing brand choices rather than analyzing product constituents’ potential benefits health/scalp deterioration levels.

Remember “Clean hair does NOT mean healthy hair,” become Conscious before buying, understand what exactly meets your hair scalp requirements & abstain from the dangers it might bring. Choose wisely!
