What triggers chronic fatigue syndrome?

Have you ever felt like a deflated balloon, drained of all energy and motivation? If so, then you can relate to the experience of those suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). This debilitating condition affects millions worldwide, yet its cause remains shrouded in mystery. In this article, we’ll examine some potential triggers for CFS and try to make sense of this enigma.

The Symptoms

Before diving into the causes of CFS, let’s take a moment to understand what it entails. CFS usually manifests as severe and lasting exhaustion that doesn’t improve with rest or sleep. Along with fatigue comes disruptions in cognitive function such as memory loss (now where did I put my keys…), brain fog (what was I saying again?), and difficulty concentrating (ooh look at that shiny object!).

Physical symptoms can present themselves too; muscle pain, headaches (the dull throbbing kind which doesn’t go away-joy) swollen lymph nodes (ouch! Could they get any bigger?), unrefreshing sleep flow through your body making you reluctant about getting out of bed even though you slept longer than necessary. These were just few examples because honestly speaking there are many ways your body can rebel against stress(loss from work /relationships) which may potentially trigger chronic fatigue!

If these sound familiar,do not pass go-do not collect $100-head over to a healthcare professional right now!

It’s Debated

The etiology (_unknown true cause) behind chronic fatigue syndrome has been debated among Medical professionals.
Some categorize it as psychosomatic (Translation: mental processes leading up-to physical demoralisation), whereas other researchers have done extensive research on infectious diseases as Micobacterium Avium-intracellulare Complex ,for instance

but hey-we won’t be pointing fingers today!

Trigger 1- Viral Misadventure

One of the prevailing theories about CFS is that it’s caused by a viral infection, and there may just be more substance to this than we think. The human herpesvirus family consists of eight members like Epstein-Barr virus, which are commonly found in your body. This particular virus has been linked to CFS research as it becomes hard for some chronically fatigued individuals.

Just thinking back –remember those days when you had tonsillitis /mononucleosis? for if yes-there is a chance EBV (Epstein-Barr Virus) was the catalyst (mind blown). A recent study conducted showed that persons who were infected during their teenage/ twenties years could develop symptoms later in life (Now THATS scary!) This might generally afflict women more than men though.

Trigger 2-Study Bench Laceration ?

Recent studies have shown moderate evidence linking Chronic fatigue syndrome with endocrine system malfunctioning-especially HPA (Hypothalamus-Pituitary Adrenal ) axis dysfunction/hyperactivity-this hampered immune defence against viruses or impairments within muscle metabolism. So ,that time spent studying late-night or enduring long hours at work before an important deadline

(yes…yes I do believe sweat smells like deadlines-but apparently that can induce metabolic impairment leading towards chronic fatigue).

Additionally research also found out Mito D factors compromising efficiency of muscles functioning-or rather giving them less mechanical power offloaded with poor recovery. This again plays down various role responsible either as consequence -or cause-of chronic fatigue .

This ultimately means poorly recovering from light exercise/exploit/low activity energy production resistance.

So next time-get outside move around often-even if its too stretch; but remember no matter how zealous one’s efforts are:Long sitting periods/stressful works schedules will not improve these conditions-so take a hike outside(going home during weekends count too!).

Trigger 3-Gone with the wind?

Air pollution-is it only affecting ventilation and choking life on broil? NO, The tiniest of particles PM10, -PM2.5 ,consisting of dust smog soot coated particles entering your system-ultimately leading to high risk patients being hospitalised due to chronic pulmonary diseases.

Yet again recently researches have incurred correlating factors between air pollution levels & fatigue. Then who is actually more prone/ likely towards this-pollution induced fatigue?.If you were already plagued by other lung disorders like asthma/allergic rhinitis then time for some protective shielding because CFS onset would be sooner than procrastinating over deadlines

So if there ever was an excuse(barring laziness) before not wearing that mask outdoors-today’s the day#maskup!

In conclusion also remember-however one can take necessary precautions-excessive stress reduction activities/regular exercise activities adequate sleep cycles may compensate and slow down progression off any triggering inducing condition otherwise-enjoy days getting lost amidst cozziness-togetherness unlike we endured these past COVID months-hopefully without suffering from chronic tiredness! No coffee, you aren’t excused yet.
