What to do when you are not happy with yourself?

Feeling down about yourself lately? Feeling like you’re not living up to your full potential? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. It’s tough when you don’t feel good about yourself and it can be hard to know what steps to take next. But fear not, my friend! Here are some tips on what “not” to do when you’re feeling low (and a little bit of what TO do as well).

Don’t Beat Yourself Up

Listen, life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows (as much as we wish it were!). It’s normal for things to be tough sometimes – but that doesn’t mean you should beat yourself up over it! That is the “dumbest” thing ever!

Do Seek Support

If you’re struggling with feelings of self-doubt or unhappiness then having people who support and care for you can make a huge difference in your overall mindset. Reach out to family members, friends, or seek professional help if necessary.

Talk it Out

Venting your worries out loud can really work wonders in making them seem smaller than they actually are by putting them into perspective. Yeah…even those irritating insecurities such as the hair sticking out atop of our heads causing us great anxiety!

Find Inspiration from Others

It often feels like everyone around us has everything together while we struggle on the sidelines – I’m calling “BS” on that right now because nobody knows how another person is truly doing beneath their smiles.

BUT finding someone who inspires your spirit will remind you that success comes in different shapes sizes and timing.

Here are a few characteristics worth looking at:

  • Someone within’ an industry similar yours; preferably one who specializes
  • A social media influencer
  • An older sibling/cousin/mentor

Don’t Keep Things Bottled Up

Emotions are like colas, you can’t shake one and expect not to spew upon opening. Burying those frustrations inside will only make the pain of inadequacy bigger. You’ve got to learn to let your emotions out from time-to-time.

It’s okay if our tears flows down in torrents as long as we get it all out eventually so we too can begin realizing that no one is perfect – including ourselves.

Do Reframe Your Mindset

Negativity breeds negativity so start changing your thought process today by viewing yourself through new eyes – eyes not clouded with stereotypes or comparing oneself against an individual else’s progress.

Enjoy a happy moment of alone time each day where you write a list of five things you’re grateful for- nothing greater than the small things often gets neglected! If luck may have it, try a vision board (putting inspiration pictures on display) and regularly update these themes!

Remember how important it is mind-over-matter when analyzing what shapes true success. Repeat positive affirmations aloud (“I AM capable”, “I DO deserve happiness”) until they really stick in your consciousness

This Ain’t No Movie Montage Level Change

Yes taking lots of action sounds good but realistically speaking big changes do take dedication and persistence even marketing strategy tweak like addressing the brand logo, message can lead them much more targeting results.
