What is the generic for wellbutrin?

Well, well, well. Look what we have here! Someone’s curious about the generic of Wellbutrin. I don’t blame you, friend. Life can be tough sometimes and we need all the help we can get. That’s where good old Wellbutrin comes in- it helps keep us from spiraling into despair and cackling like a mad scientist.

Now, let me tell you something – there are a lot of different depressants out there nowadays and they’ve got names that sound like flavors at an ice cream shop: Zoloft? Lexapro? Cymbalta?? What is going on here???

But today, my troubled reader, I’m going to bring some simplicity back to your life with only one name… Bupropion.

First things first – What IS Generic?

Before diving headlong into understanding what bupropion is in relation to Wellbutrin; let’s clarify something fundamental – what does ‘Generic’ refer to anyway? Something born from genetics perhaps ? Let’s dig deeper

As much as we’d LOVE for generic drugs to come up with snazzy new-generational names every time (like Batman Nurofen or Captain Prozac), unfortunately their birth name has proven exceedingly difficult (or boring ….depending on viewpoint).

In essence therefore , simply put ; The term ‘Generic Drug / Medication” refers specifically to any drug that does not sport a brand/ patented label . Instead , Its makeup consists of relatively identical doses/mixtures as the original version but masked under plain packaging & sold significantly cheaper .

And yes , no doubting it : popular examples include paracetamol acetaminophen ibuprofen etc. But let not these mere political stooges steal our attention …onwards!

I’m sorry WHAT? Bupa-what-now?

When we said Bupropion, we meant bup-ro-pi-on which is the generic name for Wellbutrin. Although I must say, your pronunciation was quite cute- reminded me of a little anime character.

Now that monkey’s off our back , why don’t you let me hit you with some good news?
drumroll
THE GENERIC IS JUST AS GOOD AS WELLBUTRIN!!!!

That’s right! The FDA has deemed bupropion as bio-equivalent to wellbutrin which essentially means they’re the same thing when it comes down to how they function and their efficiency in addressing depression

So if So if Michelle on Facebook Market Place is selling cheap Antidepressants under the cover name “Anthony” rest assured those could be bupa…or worse . Steer clear .

Cost effective treatment : A choice dilemma

You may ask yourself now whether or not you should get some of this sweet sweet bupropion. And why not ? There are times where dodgy illegal deals can actually be profitable !

Well, there isn’t an absolute answer my friend because like most pharmaceutical drugs; cost varies based on multiple variables: pharmacies differ and insurance policies mutate countless times so keeping tabs would require regular updates (an impossibility)

Nevertheless, commonly Prone costs cheaper than Wellbutrin precisely BECAUSE it lacks branded packaging & marketing complications..and hey ; can still potentially polish those cobwebs .

I personally prefer saving money over futile pride but then again : i love using public transport too so perhaps that could explain it all….

There’s more where that came from !

If by now i haven’t answered every query regarding this topic -my apologies ….Hold on promises keep coming because after every silver lining comes a cloudless day 😀

Levitra … Sildenafil
Gleevec .. Imatinib mesylate
Nateglinide .. Starlix

Those may look like random strings of letters but they’re actually other examples of drugs and their generic names. I hope this little titbit adequately conveys the importance & versatility of generics in our day to day life.
On that bombshell, let me sign- off before i get sprouted with questions .
