What is paragard?

Paragard, what a word! Sounds almost like something out of Game of Thrones. Here you have Lord Paragard mounted on his mighty steed, ruling over the kingdom with an iron fist and no mercy to those who oppose him. Though unfortunately for anyone looking for that kind of excitement, paragard is actually an intrauterine device (IUD) used as a form of birth control.

What exactly is Paragard?

Okay, so we’ve established that it’s not a character in some epic fantasy series. But what is it? Well, let me tell you: Paragard is basically T-shaped plastic gizmo that’s wrapped in copper wire and inserted into a woman’s uterus by her doctor or other health care professional – definitely not something you want to try at home. Once there, it becomes a long-lasting method preventing pregnancy through various mechanisms including altering sperm’s movement and survival.

Are there any unique features or benefits to using this IUD?

Great question! One significant advantage of the Paraguard IUD compared to its hormonal counterparts (oh snap, did someone say “contraceptive smackdown”?)  is that because of its lack hormone supply,it can act as nonhormonal birth control methods without affecting your regular menstrual cycle patterns .Speaking from experience, hormones are finicky little things which can send even calm people on emotional roller coasters. The fact  that parogad has less chance dramatic hormonal effects make me very excited about type discussing them liberally ,but this article focuses mostly on wacky titles referencing popular media franchises…so again sorry about all my rambling!

Is it painful when getting one fitted inside you?

As somebody who hasn’t had an IUD myself(insert standard disclaimers here), having your downstairs area poked around at isn’t exactly pleasant,Soooo(notice number of O’s in sooo!) obviously it may cause slight discomfort. But don’t worry( notice number of o’s and hurry), most people describe the pain that comes with fitting an IUD as extra intense menstrual cramps – you can take some over-the-counter anti-inflammatories before fitting to help with this problem.. So there we have it, folks – nothing medieval about getting one put in.( now isn’t that reassuring?)

How long does Parogard last?

Parogard when inserted correctly by a medical professional has no medication which should be perodically replaced. You would need to switch on earlier basis only if any adverse effects are observed or any changes in partner .

Does Paragard protects against STIs?

Nope! Not at all .Lucky for those who havent caught anything yet but statistics reveal unfortunate exposure towards Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) even after inserting contraceptive measures like condoms ,IUD etc.So basically we keep saying this, but its super important and ‘safe sex practices’ should be recognised despite the security provided by other contraceptives.

The Wrap-Up

That’s paragard explained without too much jargon involved- Isn’t learning fun??(#whatyallthinknow). Now off you go spread knowledge armed with newer and wackier titles #catchyaontheotherside
