What does low blood sugar make you feel like?

Low blood sugar is a condition that affects millions of people worldwide. Also known as hypoglycemia, it occurs when the glucose levels in your body drop below normal.

Now, if you’re not familiar with glucose, it’s simply another name for sugar – which can be found in carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables and grains. When you eat these foods, your body breaks them down into glucose and uses it to fuel various functions throughout the day.

But what happens when those levels dip too low? Well… let’s say things start to get interesting…

Zombie-fied

You know that feeling you get after pulling an all-nighter?

Yeah… multiply that by ten and add hunger pangs so strong they could put a lion on edge.

When our bodies don’t have enough glucose to function properly, we tend to become lethargic and irritable – even turning into zombie-like creatures who stumble around aimlessly.

Hangry all the time

Have you ever been so hungry that everything irritates you? You bark at anyone who dares look at you sideways because deep down―you just really want something sweet or salty- preferably both!

If this sounds like something straight out of ‘The Walking Dead,’ then imagining it with even more attitude won’t be a stretch!

Yep – being hangry (i.e., angry due to hunger) is one thing but mix in low blood sugar levels… well let’s jut say its best avoided, before someone comes asking why are so cranky today?

Double vision

We’ve all had moments where we have trouble focusing on objects or experience double vision. But just imagine how unsettling this becomes when every step feels like walking through eyeball soup!

That’s right; blurry visions or seeing multiple things at once might occur during episodes of hypoglycemia.. No need to panic, though. It’ll pass once your glucose levels get back up.

Panic Attacks

Has someone ever suddenly gone missing – last seen sprinting through the neighborhood? Well now you know, it’s probably a low blood sugar panic attack!

With symptoms such as dizziness and blurred vision shooting all over the place, some people might have episodes that cause them to feel trapped, alone or helpless- all typical signs of an anxiety attack.

Note: If anyone mentions pirates being involved during these outbursts…just nod politely and laugh along!

Feeling like Rocky after his fights.

After a hypoglycemic episode, it’s common for the body to feel fatigued and weak -feeling stuporous might be more accurate. This can lead to feeling like one has just survived a heavyweight bout with Mike Tyson’s long-lost cousin!

The sore muscles mixed in with dizziness makes putting pieces together seem twice its usual effort.

It is best not schedule any intense exercise regimes post-hypoglycemic sessions since most people typically need rest followed by fluids replenishment e.g fruit juices before trying anything else strenuous.

Can’t Concentrate

We’ve all been there; Starting at page one, suddenly finding ourselves mid-chapter without having retained anything we read? Seems frustrating when everything you’re looking at feels like a rorschach test (inkblot tests on steroids).

Now crank this up!!! And imagine sitting through what feels like seven math classes in a row; except even simple addition sounds otherworldly & unfamiliar!!

Low blood sugar wreaks tons of havoc, and apparently leads straight down memory lane deciding which words will go AWOL..oh let me add mishaps galore if speaking opportune sentences.

Furthermore, the inability to think clearly during hypoglycemia calls for keeping sweets nearby-so next time you are zoning away,I suggest reaching out for some candy.

Feeling Hot

Ever felt like you’re carrying an immovable ball of fire inside your body? That’s pretty much how one person described hypoglycemia heat waves ―when suddenly becoming unbearably hot.

It gets worse as even in freezing temperatures, the warmth feels all-consuming created by feelings of intense sweating that leaves clothes clingy & uncomfortable.

Oh yes, let’s not forget when high blod sugar levels come immeditely after-inducing enough thirst to rival a group stranded in the desert…just think survival tactics!

Panic Eating

We’ve kept this on the down low,but panic eating is real and can get serious -a side effect from the frantic cravings for food during hypoglycemic events.

There are tales of people waking up to empty jumbo-sized potato chip bags nearby― no recollection everything consumed afterward; talk about snacking without inhibitions .

Therefore,it goes without saying always keep healthy snacks around lest somebody tells stories you will never live down!

Can’t Stand Bright Lights

The sun recently retired but it still feels appropriate to wear sunglasses indoors-having all lights feel akin to stadium spotlights trained directly at us! How grand….

Even mere screens or sudden changes make heads throb and eyes hurt- until they readjust into new lighting conditions!! Don’t be too alarmed – normal vision should resume in due time before things start looking peculiar!.

Additionally, since being outside exerts pressure on already affected senses-Avoid waiting till dusk; carry protective shades just in case – maybe with reflective lenses if feeling particularly snazz today!

To sum it up,hypoglycemia might sound like a clinical term only found within boring medica journals-but just take another look: erratic behavior, zombie-like movements, double visions among others make quite an interesting mix indeed!. Remember to stock up on healthy snack options when necessary, that way the next time any of these symptoms pop-up,it will go off almost as if it never happened (and debatably funnier to watch).
