What does it mean when you shake?

Shaking is not always something that should be taken lightly. Sure, a little shimmy can be fun and break up the monotony of life but when your body starting to have full on convulsions that’s a whole new story. In this article we will discuss what shaking means in different scenarios because let’s face it, there isn’t just one reason for rattling like a maraca.

Body Language

Have you ever heard of kinesics? It’s the study of body language! Understanding kinesics can sometimes also help in explaining if someone else is shaking under certain circumstances. Interestingly enough human shake for many of the same reasons animals do; as instincts ingrained into our DNA over time. When an animal shakes after being chased by another predator they are working out their muscles which helps relieve tension and stress from situation at hand – basically rebooting their system in terms so speaking.

As humans under mental or physical duress, similar hormones such as cortisol get released into our systems which throws off our usual rhythm causing involuntary shakes somewhere along the central nervous system (yes momma always said I had nerve damage). According to some studies anxiety produces low level jumps through interference with relaxation response and parts of brain overreached from too little sleep.

The Chill Shakes

Have you ever woken up freezing cold with unexpected shivers down your back feeling like Lord Farquaad voices were whispering sweet nothings behind you at dawn? That actually could mean several things:

  • Hypothermia
  • Anxiety
  • Broken thermostat

Hypothermia happens when your core temperature drops suddenly – this causes your muscles twitch all over violently due to lack food-energy in reaction heat escaping quickly from skin or breathing faster than natural respiratory rate would allow (hyperventilation). Often key signs include frostbite/burn wounds unnoticeable, confusion or lethargy.

Anxiety most commonly produces cold symptoms but tends to have other signs such as sweaty palms, fear of impending doom, and a whole lot of feeling like you are constantly in danger from man eating sharks. Sometimes even our brains can make up crazy show-stopping-symptoms due extreme stressors. It is important in these cases if your body is betraying you with tremble rumbles that we reassess situations take ourselves out relaxing locations for people who help soothe us be it a restaurant, park or back alley dumpster;)

And finally broken thermostats – I’m not talking about physically breaking something really needed for sanity but rather an issue over-complicating solution calling forth entire re-do of inner wiring systems while waiting outside Home Depot on Black Friday because they were closed by the time last 20% was installed perfectly.

The Shake Before You Get Jiggy

I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen this reference isn’t rated PG so keep the kids away. We all know what shaking means when someone ebbs-and-flows into one of those circuits between lust/love haha – needless to say if interested parties come across similar states just remember laundry detergent is good kind soul probably more beneficial though!

Totally kidding aside there’s also practical scientific explanation for supposedly “meeting” jitters; adrenaline surges throughout central nervous system stimulating our bodies to go into fight or flight mode which causes shakes usually with pre-figure stage performances singing karaoke…or so they say. Let’s just leave it at: nerves happen (although maybe don’t compare first date jitters experience to walking through door located on airport’s strip club side..)

Shaky Health History

Sometimes too random bodily activity unrelated any recent life events could actually indicate deeper underlying health problems going unnoticed leaving internal distress signaling via erratic physical responses:

Epilepsy

Similar involuntary physical upheavals can be signs of nerves crashing like a non-Microsoft computer when a person with epilepsy experiences what we call as seizures.

Parkinson’s Disease

An almost permanent shake could be more than just over-caffeination due to long hours spent working on your ebook – it may actually have to do with the onset of Parkinson’s disease. With this ailment, shaking may start small but is often uncontrollable during movement at later stages of progression.

Give Shakes A Shake

All in all , sometimes shaking can simply mean that you are human and experiencing moments of random invigorations usually not harmful…as a one-time event (knock on wood). But if continuous or causing discomfort therein similar cases mentioned previously let’s assist our bodies by being proactive: rebooting life rhythms via physical activities, adjusting habits psychologically and mentally debriefing past events/triggers allowing ourselves also access freely available online resources made especially for dealing different forms anxiety disorders depression/suicidal thoughts because hey nothing wrong being occasional Earth rattlers lest they become cataclysmic troughs at odds lots others day to day functioning!
