What causes low fever?

Are you feeling a little under the weather? Are you constantly battling a low fever that just won’t seem to go away? Fear not, my sickly friend. In this article we will explore the various causes of low-grade fever and what steps you can take to make yourself feel better.

Understanding Fever

Before we dive into the causes of low-grade fevers, let’s first establish what exactly constitutes as a fever. A normal body temperature for most people is around 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit (37 Celsius), give or take a degree depending on the person’s age, gender, and current state of health.

However, anything above 100.4 F (38 C) is considered a fever. This can cause all sorts of unpleasant symptoms, such as muscle aches, chills, fatigue and even sweating (not so fun fact: no one looks good when they’re sweaty). But why do our temperatures rise in the first place?

The answer lies within your immune system! When your body detects an infection or inflammation or any other perceived threat it responds by raising its internal thermostat – aka triggering “fever mode”. This increased temperature helps fight off whatever nasties are causing trouble in your body and destroooyszzz themmm.

Now that we’ve covered some basics about how our bodies respond to illness with fever mode- let’s focus on some factors that influence getting those unconquerable low grade fevers.

Too Much Sun Will Get Ya Burned

One pretty common reason for having consistently low-grade fevers (aka between 99F-100F) could be attributed to sunburns!!! Who would have thought???

If you’ve recently been out sunning yourself like the lizard king/lizard queen you are then chances are high that could be affecting ur internal temp thermometer reading slightly higher than normal. Your immune system might be responding to all the excessive heat by triggering fever mode.

So, remember kids: Even if you want a tan glow or feel like getting one helps lower ur thermometer rating at your next doctor’s appointment, it won’t protect you from a having an inner body temp conflict with some of the sunburns.

Medications are No Chuckle

Sometimes meds we take can also mess up our internal temperature GPS reading and cause low-grade fevers. Certain medications such as antibiotics, antidepressants & Anti-inflammatory pain medication can trigger that pesky fever-mode response.

and fun fact because knowledge is power: Fever could even show up as a side effect on over-the-counter allergy pills like Benadryl!!!

Recent Vaccines As Culprits

Have you had any vaccinations recently? Like really recently- like within the last couple days recently? The normal reaction for these particular upgrades in immune-system function can result in mild symptoms similar to having common cold-like body temps. It’s nothing serious nor permanent-mostly just ur bodys way of activating new cellular warriors against disease enemies!.

Not Enough Sleep…Who Knew?

Sleep deprivation is never good for anyone- but who knew it could add another dingy to our health game scoresheet? When your brain gets tired, your levels of cortisol (stress hormone) go up due to more inflammation and other nasty reasons resulting in increased likelihood of spiking internal temperature gauges.

Making sure you get enough rest each night should help keep unnecessary “sleepy cortisol” from becoming escapable via thermal means.

Oh No We’ve Been Out Too Long People!

This goes hand-in-hand with basking under the sun – don’t stay outside too long especially when there’s no shade! Exposure endures instead quickly dehydrating / raising victims’ core temps.

So why does exposure bring internal thermometers out of hibernation mode?!? Well, that’s actually interesting – our bodies’ thermoregulatory feedback loop triggering responses to make sweating happen. This makes us lose excess body heat from the environment and saves the day by reducing feverish thermometer!.

The Thoughts are Too Deep

Have you ever been in a situation where stress is getting the best of you??? That taxing hard work project deadline/time crunch with no pauses?? Studies indicate stress hormones such as cortisol could show an uptick reaction throughout ur mind and system.

The kicker?: Yep, also leading to your internal thermostat shooting numbers upwards on some abstract level.

TLDR?: Chill out for good health results!

When You’ve Got Toxins Around

Routine daily activities—such as exposure to toxins in water or dust—can cause low-grade fevers that may go unnoticed due to not feeling sick at all.

Still…some exertion-triggered inflammation accompanied with toxin-related over-activation of receptors might activate fever-phobic responses resulting in usual temperature drops after exercising relatively profusely!

Bottom line: we’re never safe bois – there seems always SOME chemicals/pollution/etc affecting us either way,,, whether we know it or not!

A Little Bug Never Hurt Anyone…Until It Actually Does 🙁

Lastly, but definitely most commonly known, a low-grade temperature reading would often be symptomatic of mild viral/infectious diseases like colds & flu coupled with symptoms like throat soreness/way too much nose blowing/hot beans everywhere!!!/feeling yuckies (just missing sunshine & rainbows now amirightttt).

Funny enough though—if someone were carrying infectious disease agents reportedly from certain areas around world—it’d induce more severe forms ranging from hypo-to hyperthermia just because time isn’t kind 2 anyone includng our precious immune systems!

Now you know what might be the cause of ur heightened thermometer (if it’s indeed really causing you lotsa troubles!). But we also know that sometimes things resulting in otherwise normal manifestations outweigh our desire to rid them away, like excess stress or getting vaccinated.

Sometimes tho fixing and/or keeping ourselves healthier is fairly easier than putting up with serious outcomes. If symptoms go on way too long or are becoming severe – it’s always better & recommended reaching professional treatment intervention as soon as possible!

Until next time friends, here’s wishing your body eats up that pesky fever like Pac Man would a neon ghost!
