What causes hives on stomach?

Having rashes on your skin is not always a good sign. Sometimes it can be trivial, sometimes serious, but most of the time it’s just mortifying because you look like a walking marshmallow. In this article, we’ll explore what causes hives on the stomach and why they happen.

What are Hives?

Hives are raised and swollen bumps that occur all over the body. They often appear suddenly and go away after a few hours or days without leaving any marks behind. However, in some cases where they prolong for more than 6 weeks, they are termed Chronic urticaria.

Why Do We Get Them?

The cause of hives on the stomach is idiopathic which means no one knows for sure why someone gets them! However scientists speculate that factors such as stress, digestive disorders , environmental aggravators (chemicals), underlying infections or genetics could all have something to do with their onset.

Stress

Times can get stressful alright? When our cortisol levels spike up during these times so does production of histaminic proteins causing eruptions down below your belly button.

Digestive Disorders

Trouble in paradise? Digestive issues like celiac disease (insert surprise emoji here)– an autoimmune disorder related to gluten intolerance might also lead to occurrences of abdominal whelming…I mean welts!

Environmental Aggravators

We want progress but at what cost? Constant exposure to chemicals from various pollutants including preservatives & additives used in foods might increase chances of developing acute urticaria leading us back to square one

Underlying Infections

Germs = No Bueno especially if caused by viral pathogens involved with flu-like symptoms or bacteria responsible for recurrent sore throats/ sinus infections

So basically life itself gives rise to little charming bumps although how individual body responses comes into play will vary among people.

Symptoms Besides Bumps

Hives generally appear of the obvious variety, but symptoms can range in severity from mild to annoying.

  • Raised bumps on stomach or other areas (including arms, legs and face)
  • Intense itching
  • Mild to severe burning sensation
  • Reddening flesh around welts
-Dizziness & headaches due swelling response potential brain vessels

Taking Control of Those Itchy Bumps

While there’s not much we know about what triggers hives that doesn’t mean we can’t reduce their onset:

Clothing and Fabrics Matter!

Nope still not over this – Just because you look like a snack doesn’t mean everything else has to match it! Choose clothes made out of natural fabrics liberating your skin with ease preventing flare-ups.
