This job was made for me: now this looks like a job for me

Have you ever stumbled upon a job posting that perfectly aligns with your skills and interests? You read the job description, and it’s as if they wrote it just for you. The responsibilities, requirements, and even the company culture seem like they were tailor-made to fit your expertise.

Well, my friend, let me tell you that feeling is priceless. It’s like finding a unicorn in a haystack or discovering that your significant other actually likes pineapple on their pizza- priceless! And if you’re lucky enough to secure that dream role, then congratulations! You’ve hit the jackpot.

So sit back, relax and grab some popcorn because I’m about to share my story of how I landed my perfect job – one that was made for me!

Can’t Cage My Creativity

I am what some would call “an artistic soul trapped in an accountant’s body.” While finance may not be associated with creativity by most people out there, (Don’t argue with me on this; after all accounting is nothing but numbers) being creative has always been an essential part of who I am.

When I came across a social media specialist position at XYZ advertising firm which boasted that “no two days are alike,” I knew this could be THE ONE. A chance to combine my analytical mind along with my penchant for crafting content sounded too good to pass up!

Love At First Sight

Before going ahead(headings-wise), first let us talk about why we think it impossible sometimes while searching jobs so here are few reasons:

The Never-ending Cycle Of Rejection Emails

The last round interview turned out well( according to us) . We thought we had nailed the assignment they gave only have our bubble popped by getting a generic “Thanks” email from them. In our agony post-rejection , spotting another irrelevant opening makes us question our capabilities.

The House of Cards That is Job Searching

You know the drill by now – sending out resumes, filling out those pesky online applications, and perfecting your cover letter. It’s like a house of cards that feels about to topple at any given moment. And all for what? A lukewarm “thank you for applying” email or radio silence?

Uninspiring Jobs Left and Right

Job hunting can be equivalent to flipping through channels on television – every time an opening grabs your attention; the reality sets in — “Ughh! How monotonous!” Another uninspiring role like operations manager or data analyst (no offense to people who love these roles) puts you right back where you began: square one.

But this job… sigh, seeing it was such a relief! No more wading through spammy emails, irrelevant job postings, or awkward interviews with rude recruiters. Everything lined up perfectly from my skills set( See I didn’t say qualifications which always sound boring) to creative abilities- I just knew we were meant to be together!

Confidence Is Key

There’s no denying that going after a job that you really want takes some guts. You have to trust your strengths and passions enough actually put yourself forward confidently as someone better suited for this position than anybody else.’(Most importantly without sounding arrogant).

So when it came time for me take the plunge,if there ever was anything called professional bragging, yup,I did it ! Instead of being modest about my accomplishments ,I made sure that XYZ advertising firm recognized how perfectly aligned I was with their brand values.

My passion drove confidence,’’ Yes sir/Ma’am .It could’ve sounded cheesy coming out but boy!,it worked wonders(Side note: Do not use movies watching references while giving Office examples)Did they hire me? YOU BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR THEY DID!

The Perfect Fit

They say the first day on your new job is similar to a blind date: you’re not quite sure what to expect, and you’re hoping for the best(all true). But my goodness, was I blown away (far better than any of my blind dates!).

From the cool (not in temperature) office space (Think lush emerald plants and modern wall murals )to super accommodating management who welcomed me with open arms, I felt like I had already been working there forever.(Disclaimer – it’s natural human brain’s tendency to be impressed by things so remember ,don’t set bar too high as it may lead to dissatisfaction later)
And don’t even get me started on team synergy! It’s amazing when everyone on your crew has each other’s back(which rarely happens elsewhere).

But most importantly- let us talk salary. Ooh yes!!! .Let’s just say, that number matched how badly they wanted me(Savvy business people always make sure their potential hires are compensated well which makes them less likely look for jobs outside company)

Conclusion

So if you’re looking out for careers currently, keep this one thing in mind – DO NOT SETTLE FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN WHAT YOU ARE TRULY PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Jobs come and go but passion(not talking about love here :P) keeps us going(till we eventually retire happily after doing what we have done all along)

With persistent efforts and immense positivity,(it takes time,Yes!),you will eventually find one made just for you.(Who knows, humans end up spending more awake hours at workspaces)

So here’s to finding our perfect fits cheers
