The Power is Yours: It’s All Up to You

Are you tired of feeling helpless and hopeless? Do you feel like life is constantly throwing curveballs at you, leaving you flailing in the wind? Fear not, my friend, because the power is yours. That’s right, you have the ability to take control of your life and create your own destiny.

What Exactly Does it Mean?

You may be wondering what exactly “the power is yours” entails. Simply put, it means that you are ultimately responsible for how your life turns out. You can either sit back and let things happen to you or actively participate in creating the outcome that you desire.

Shifting Your Mindset

To fully embrace this concept, you must first shift your mindset from a victim mentality to an empowered one. This means recognizing that while certain circumstances may be out of your control, your reaction to those circumstances is within your realm of power.

Take Jenny for example (name changed for privacy purposes). Jenny was going through a rough patch in her life – she had just lost her job and was struggling financially. Instead of wallowing in self-pity and blaming outside forces for her misfortune, she decided to take action. She wrote down a list of actionable steps she could take towards finding new employment such as attending networking events ,updating her resume etc.,and soon enough found herself with multiple offers on the table.

Moral ? Whenever faced with obstacles, choose action over helplessness

Don’t Be Afraid To Ask For Support

While acknowledging our personal responsibility over our lives is essential,it does not mean we should go through hardships alone.Nobody ever got far by going solo;it takes support systems,to achieve success.Having someone(whether they’re friends, family members or even professionals)to confide in,may prove extremely beneficial.
So why drown, get a floatie and ask for help!

Taking Control of Your Thoughts

Aside from external circumstances, the thoughts we constantly process on our minds have a significant impact on us. If left unchecked, negative thoughts can not only hinder our ability to take action but it can become contagious as well.

It’s essential to practice self-awareness when observing your thoughts (Meaningbecome cognizant of how your mind operates).Identifying automatic negative beliefs are very crucial in becoming more self aware. We all have dysfunctional patterns that play out in our heads ,such as uncalled-for fear, insecurity or simply being overwhelmed by certain situations. However,it is upto you,to choose what happens next. Are you going to believe these unnecessary throngs Or choose compassion-purposeful thought process ?

Embrace Change

“Change is hard'”,”my main job function was changed, might even be replaced next”;these are statements we’ve either heard ourselves say or someone tell us.No one enjoys change. Most people resist it – maybe because its outside their comfort zone(especially if life seems manageable at present),or perhaps they’re expecting perfection right from day one.Change requires effort, courage, and commitmentTowards betterment.
But let me fill you in;a specific type of change is inevitable,a phenomenon hyped the “butterfly effect”.A small ripple could manifest into an unexpected sequela. And so,why not make efforts towards equally positive directions such transformation would easily take?

To embrace means,to actively participate, isn’t that already making progress?

Something New Everyday

There’s this online cooking sensation who makes meals with dishes known scantily throughout the world but cleverly twists them up.generically referred to as fusion cuisine.Every time she made something which looked appealing, you couldn’t wait to try yet other times, you’d need clarification throughout. But once tasted,it couldn’t necessarily disappoint.Lesson learned?Try something new everday!Whether it’s trying out a new recipe, reading a book or even calling someone you haven’t for the longest time. It could just be little steps towards your overall outcome.

Practice Gratitude

“How does gratitude help me achieve what I want?” said probably everyone at least once.Well, this scientifically studied phenomenon shows that humans tend to hold onto negatives and disregard all else.If we trained ourselves to become more grateful,it would change our perception on life. The lens through which it is perceived widens and more possibilities are open. Most successful people attribute their success,in part,to being thankful.
It is essential to take stock of the things you already have because somehow,a sense of gladness boosts motivation in pursuit.By doing so,it will keep us from constantly seeking external validation.Combine this with affirmations, repeating uplifting/wonderful pieces targeting yourself, and watch your confidence surge unnecessarily!

An Abundance Mindset

Cultivate an abundance mindset. That thinks beyond competition but rather;collaboration.Howevers awkward this may seem, banding together helps bring about greater successes than going solo.Foster collaboration over isolation- maybe joining a club or participating in voluntary work.Any scenario where different perspectives can be shared among individuals has great potential.

Taking Action

“Hey I feel like the concept makes sense. But how do I actually put it into practice?”.This is probably why most people shy away from such initiatives.First off, before taking any significant action;start by identifying one goal. Then draw up actionable steps needed to reach that specific milestone. For better results ensure these goals sit comfortably within SMART principles i.e Specific,Measurable,Achievable,Realistic & Time-Bound.
Remember ,all progress begins as baby steps.A team with understanding members offers support every step of the way.#TakingActionToAchieveGoals
