Test is positive?

There comes a time in every person’s life when they receive the news that they have tested positive for something. It could be pregnancy, an STD, or even COVID-19. Whatever it may be, the word “positive” can send shivers down your spine and make you feel like you’ve been plunged into darkness at any moment. But what does it mean to test positive? How should one respond to such news? And most importantly, how does one keep their sense of humor intact during trying times?

What It Means To Test Positive

First things first: testing positive simply means that whatever substance/pathogen/condition was being tested for, showed up in your results. In other words, if you took a pregnancy test and received a positive result, congratulations! You’re pregnant (or according to some tests – aliens impregnated you). If you took an STD test and received a positive result… sorry bout’ that bro.

False Positives – An Unfortunate Reality

Sometimes though – and I don’t mean to scare anyone with this knowledge – there’s always the risk of receiving false positives on certain tests. It’s similar situation as sending someone flowers after unfortunate incident just because two delivery guys came out at same time from florist shop.
False positives happen when other substances in your body mimic the substance being tested for and cause a “yes” response on the test despite no evidence suggesting the presence of that condition/substance/pathogen etc….

So next time if your dopey brain shows up incorrectly while drunk driving simulation game at arcade – Don’t sue me I’m innoooooooo

Responding To The News

Learning about your new found status isn’t really something people plan ahead emotionally or mentally(as if we have made blueprints), but it pays off knowing what actions can help prevent things spiraling south real fast.

Allow yourself 24 hours. Break into an impromptu Jackson Pollock painting session or watch every episode of “Friends” – we all have our own preferred coping mechanisms.

Round up your closest Allies

In addition, it may be helpful to round up some moral support from friends or family who can lend a listening ear and reassure you that everything is going to be okay. My recommendation? You can also involve those people who makes you laugh as much as possible rather than those people who give off vibes like they might end up burying me alive in a shallow grave one day.

Keeping Your Sense Of Humor

Obtaining knowledge about the condition/pathogen/substance test result is crucial ,but being positive(emphasize on the action) during tough situations shouldn’t always take a backseat.

Here are some tips for how to keep your sense of humor intact:

1.Because let’s face it: laughter really has been shown scientifically to help alleviate anxiety!

2.Give yourself permission (in silence only please) for shaking body violently resembling Lady Gaga dancing style when no one’s around.
You’re allowed it!

4.Always remember there are brighter tomorrows! And what matters mostly is keeping smile firmly plastered while dealing with any messes thrown our way.

5.Bad news doesn’t define us – happiness does. At least that’s what I tell myself through sleepless nights curled under blanket surrounded by empty pizza boxes wondering where my life went wrong.

6.Reward Yourself – after receiving positive results from certain tests sometimes doctors allow patients indulge themselves within limitations.Restaurants/Desserts/Sweets consumption could make patient feel better thus bringing them closer maintaining good health habits.

Conclusion

Receiving positive news on tests aren’t exactly ideal(always looks more natural if written this way), but learning how best to react emotionally/ mentally and even physically(definitely not physically though)can slow down any unfortunate outcomes while ensuring your sense of humor lives to see another day. Laughter really is the best medicine – even when you don’t think there’s anything funny about your current situation.
