As the world becomes more fast-paced and connected, it seems counterintuitive that some people actively crave alone time. Yet, they do exist. Those resilient creatures who prefer their own company above all others; those elusive folk who seem perfectly content in utter solitude. In this article, we will explore why some people need to be alone.

Defining Loners

We should first explain who these individuals are that we keep referring to as ‘loners’. Simply put – they’re introverts. That’s right folks; introverts aren’t necessarily shy or antisocial, but rather they get energy from being alone versus extroverts getting energized from social interaction.

Sometimes you might come across someone labelled wrongly as a loner- don’t jump into conclusions!! Before labelling them wrongly listen carefully for them saying about how much they enjoy hanging out by themselves.
