My Sister: My Partner in Crime and Best Friend

Growing up, there was no one I trusted more than my sister. She was not only my partner in crime, but also the best friend I could ever ask for. From playing dress-up to facing life’s challenges together, she has been by my side every step of the way.

The Early Years

My sister and I have always been close; from being two peas in a pod as toddlers to confidants as adults. As children, we had an enshrined practice that never altered—we would share everything like peanut butter and jelly—no reservations whatsoever! Our love for each other started during our childhood when we shared toys and swapped clothes whenever possible.

One time, we decided to play hide-and-seek at home. You know those spots where nobody finds you? We chose them all!! Before long, it felt like eternity trying to figure out how many rounds were completed already until mother felt suspicious about silence at certain corners…

“Where are they?” she shouted repeatedly without getting any response…

Teenage Woes

As teens, things weren’t always a smooth ride. Hormones raged on our bodies while school drama seemed endless with social pressure becoming a big deal – coming from parents who demanded straight A’s even though their grades documents showed nothing worth talking about.

We still managed to stick together through thick and thin despite some grime ongoing typically seen among teenagers nowadays (you know what I mean).

We lived through scenarios where gossiping girls turned on us after spreading rumors throughout classrooms disdaining our family background or personal proclivities such as sporting glittery makeup & accentuated nails just because it was fun!

Despite these trying times,we stood firm, proud of who we were despite critical remarks hurled at us by classmates who weren’t half as confident enough themselves …

College Life

Off-to college came fast too! But despite our different choices of schools and degrees, we still remained inseparable. One night during my first year, I got lost in the city after exploring on foot without a map (it was before phones had GPS) suddenly bad luck struck me when 2 guys approached with an intimidating look.

It felt like my world turned upside down as they started harassing me over personal preferences that were none of their concern. Luckily, just as things seemed to escalate out-of-control rates; big ‘sister’ came to save the day!

She ran them off by telling them she knew martial arts^1 (which needless say isn’t true), but her confidence convinced these goons otherwise! From that experience, it dawned on me how great companionship makes life complete^2.

Life’s Challenges

As we went through adulthood together, nothing could break our bond – not even failures or family drama. Once upon a moment at a crowded airport terminal while waiting for luggage; There appeared this guy – tall, dark & handsome- interrupting my daydream completely!!

I can’t believe he chose now!! During all times…And seriously what kind of name is James Bond anyway? He introduced himself saying “Hello beautiful ladies,”—promptly activating eye rolls from us both—the nerve

Thingshappened fast and before we knew it tears streamed down one cheek each after realizing he hadn’t shown up in years just like every time he wanted money owed him. Then again good sisters take care of each other’s broken hearts too!

Our Lifelong Adventure

Today marks another milestone being our older sibling’s birthday celebration…the candles are lit some to form numbers whereas others feel off-center burning hopefully referring to numerology… not subliminal messages trying to tell us anything…

Despite her birthday-morning mishaps making today somewhat funny while reminiscing about downright awkward moments happening throughout our lives altogether – cue water balloons thrown at windows when grounded, we have still kept our sisterhood intact stronger than ever.

Our only regret now, as grown up professionals is the countless moments that passed by unnoticed earlier on. But turning back the hands of time isn’t possible, and so to making more good memories in future!! Cheers!!

Conclusion

The love shared between siblings goes beyond blood – it’s an unbreakable bond built upon trust and admiration for each other. My sister remains my partner in crime through thick and thin attesting to how lucky I am witnessing life’s beautiful moments together with one who complements me perfectly!
