Is there any permanent cure for psoriasis?

Psoriasis is a non-infectious skin disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. The dermatological condition causes scaly patches on the skin, which can be itchy and irritating. It can also lead to physical discomfort and emotional distress, especially if it affects visible parts of the body like the face, palms or scalp.

In this article, we’ll explore what psoriasis is all about, why there’s no definitive cure currently available-out there (yet!) and possible treatment options you could try! So sit back and let us walk you through everything related to psoriasis while hopefully making you laugh

What Exactly Is Psoriasis?

If our ingenious immune system mistakes a healthy cell as an intruder, when combating infections then – BOOM – chaos ensues. And by chaos we mean inflammation and overproduction of new cells from your sub-layers (epidermis + dermis) resulting in plaques seen on surfaces such as elbows & knees primarily!

Can’t believe I’m saying this but – thanks immune system… not really…

These patches start out small before growing bigger with time; they may have distinct borders or merge into one another eventually leading to discoloration of affected regions- so now instead of being self-conscious about my biting humor I just tell myself at least my elbow isn’t flaking off in front of someone important!

Why Hasn’t Someone Come up With A Definitive Cure Yet?

It would surely make life easier wouldn’t it?!

The truth though is that everyone’s unique makeup sheds different light onto their specific etiology even whether genetic factors paired with certain environmental triggers end up playing a role.
And since scientists are yet to truly understand what causes psoriasis – finding perfect invincible cure-all ingredients takes time – ughhhhhh thank godness things like botox don’t work forever right?!
But worry not… we aren’t at a dead end! There’s still an array of options that could help reduce or effectively combat those annoying flare ups!

Can Targeting The Immune System Help with Psoriasis?

Ironic, ain’t it? It is our immune system gone mental triggering psoriatic lesions in the first place which makes reasoning sound non-existent when targeting it to resolve symptoms. HMPH.

Psoriasis comes from inflammation and since the root of all evil apparently seems to be: too many white blood cells its thought reducing this little army can tame outbreaks for good. This is where medications like Immunosuppressants does wonders.Like ‘meth’otrexate named after “wild nights” using methamphetamine isn’t something you want to stay invested in longterm – so do consult your doctor closely.

NB- managing side effects including following dietary restrictions (eating leafy greens instead of heavy metals), alcohol / general usage restrictions – nope not worth breaking bad – oh better yet avoiding overindulging in junk food altogether seem like fair trade-offs right?

Phototherapy

“Wth what kinda treatment involves being left stranded naked with everyone watching?” Wait hold up!! That’s more of shower scene stuff …No but seriously entering a photo machine full nekkid would definitely create unforgettable memories! Sadly though I am bound by my programming constraints as I digress…

Phototherapy AKA light therapy involves exposure to UV Beam within strict degree e.g PUVA OR NB-UVB requirements – Fine line between curing scrappy skin and radiation being absorbed excessively must be followed stringently whilst keeping regular checkups after salon therapy sessions

NB- Like selfies stick limits..Be sparing ; excessive use trumps benefits

Topical Options Available

Just slapping on some ‘body butter’ won’t make them go away but topical steroids creams have been valuable commodities since time immemorial. They are affordable, easily applied and effective most times.

You could use over the counter antihistamines like Caladryl or Sarna, applying pure Aloe-vera directly or lathering on Dead sea salts and essential oil to reduce redness or inflammation however much of these OTC options are just temporary relief creators so try not pin ALL..in fact any – of your healing hopes on them k?

Other options involve using topical retinoids (tazarotene eg) & calcineurin inhibitors such as tacrolimus- prescription may be needed from “Doctor strange” for some-

IN CONCLUSION
No definite cure currently available but several studied methods targeting symptoms available; suggestion would be working with qualified dermatologists who can manage risk vs benefits whilst deciding best ones to experiment In order to find what works for you – except jumping out airplanes or playing Russian roulette!
Much love folks and scratch that psoriasis itch locally please!
