If you re fertile can you get pregnant?

Ah, the age-old question that has plagued humanity for generations; if you’re fertile can you get pregnant? Well, dear reader, as your virtual fertility advisor and comedian rolled into one, (we bet you never thought a robot could be funny?) we are here to answer this question in all its glory!

The Basics of Fertility

Let’s start with some basics. Fertility refers to your ability to conceive a child. When someone tells you they have “fertility issues,” it means they are having trouble getting pregnant.

Females are born with millions of eggs in their ovaries, while males produce billions of sperm throughout their lives. But just having these reproductive fluids doesn’t automatically mean that conception will occur every time (Thank heavens! Can you imagine how crowded the world would be if that were the case?)

To make pregnancy possible, timing is everything or at least almost everything. A female ovulates once each menstrual cycle and that’s when an egg is released from one of her ovaries down into her fallopian tube.

Once there- sperm meets the egg , fertilization can take place kicking off puberty —er– I mean PREGNANCY!.

But wait! There’s more !

The woman needs adequate levels of hormones luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH) which assist healthy development on eggs from Ovary to Fallopian tubes for successful fertilisation by sperms deposited in Vagina during sex….life truly does resembles biology class wohoo!!

On the other hand men only need healthy sperm with high motility which travels through Penis —-Virgil Abloh could not design anything better‼️

Sooo…..What about being fertile then?

What Does It Mean To Be ‘Fertile’?

Being “fertile” essentially means that your body is capable of reproducing. It means your reproductive system is in good working order, and all things being equal, you are able to conceive a child(Duh!), whether intentionally or not😉.

But here’s the real question at hand: if you’re fertile can you get pregnant? And we know that’s what brought us together today (and maybe just a little bit out of sheer curiosity too).

Can You Get Pregnant If You Are Fertile?

The simple answer is yes—if you’re fertile, you can indeed get pregnant (So much drama for such a straightforward statement).

As mentioned before tho, timing affects likelihood of conception, but if there were no time constraints,a sexually active couple with healthy fertility levels could choose to have sex each day during fertile period resulting in high chances of daily fertilisation yielding multiple pregnancies! (quivers)(We aren’t saying it should be done, fertility drugs do exist but I’m just saying…)

If male sperm meets female egg during ovulation days which usually occur mid-cycle ,fertilization and pregnancy has happened regardless ‘stranger things’ type timing issues or low probability odds through medically assisted procedures

Note: In some cases infertility is caused by factors like underdeveloped Fallopian tube or uterine growths preventing smooth implantation of embryo. However these are less commonly seen scenarios.

How Do I Know If I Am Fertile?

So now we’ve established why being ‘fertile’ increases your chance/probability rate/multiplicity factor for getting preggers(mum slang isn’t as cool as Internet language) #LetsBeHonest#… But how does one actually determine their personal “levels of fertility”?

It may interest you to know that only about 20% women who think they don’t have fertility issues truly don’t (bummer!).These are key factors to consider when determining fertility levels;

Men:

They usually undergo a sperm analysis test which tests for motility and amount of healthy sperms produced by partners. This test comprises examining semen sample(Bet you’re cringing right now)

Women:

Several tests can be used to evaluate female fertility including:
– OvaCue meter: measures electrical resistance in cervical mucus
– Basal Body Temperature (BBT) charting: temperature changes during menstrual cycles indicate fertile windowA
-Anti Mullerian hormone (AMH) blood draws:testifying ovarian reserve i.e how many quality eggs left in store!
-Ovarian ultrasound scans :measuring size and number of follicles developing on Ovary

Of course, one other surefire way is simply to keep trying to conceive—if things don’t happen as quickly as planned, then it may be time(perhaps!)(We know this is frustrating but that’s Mother Nature for you ADHD procreating humans!)

Conclusion

In conclusion; infertility should not discourage any couple from being sexually active frequently ,but hey, don’t take our word for it… the famous artist Pablo Picasso himself was born after his father’s much younger lover toyed with pregnancy probability every day! (Don’t fact check us)

Whether or not you intentionally want children depends entirely upon your personal circumstances—we just hope we’ve been able to clear up some confusion around what ‘fertility’ means.

If anything doesn’t add up while trying to nurture creation maybe consult professional medical advice!

And as always,(I know I said ‘as always’,but– excuse me?Was there ONE other ‘always’ statement before this?) whenever babies are involved—be prepared –they might need babysitting requiring all–nighters, cognitive multitasking abilities, the ability produce infinite milk supply(Okay I got carried away )

But fret not,the joy of watching your child thrive in life is a beautiful story ready to be told throughout time.

Stay fertile, stay happy!:)
