Before You Begin: What’s in the Box?

Before you begin using the One Touch Verio Flex meter, make sure all necessary components are included:

  • Meter
  • Clear Cap for testing on forearm or palm (sold separately)
  • Lancing device
  • Lancets
  • Carrying case

Step 1: Setting Up Your Device

The first thing you’ll want to do before using the One Touch Verio Flex meter is set up your device. Follow these simple steps:

  1. Insert battery into back of meter.
  2. Press and hold ‘OK’ button until setup screen appears.
  3. Set date and time by following prompts.
  4. Wait for unit icon (U) blinking on display.
  5. Apply blood sample onto test strip.

Once complete, congratulations! Your device is now ready for use.

Step 2: Preparing Your Finger

Next up, it’s important that we prepare our finger correctly before collecting a blood sample so we don’t pass out from shock.

  1. Wash hands with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  2. Select an area such as side of finger where there are no bones closeby or thick skin layers present (ouch!) then clean area selected with alcohol wipe provided in kit box according to instruction manual
    4.Once wound stop bleeding ,you should be able give enough sample without issue

Finally, insert lancet into lancing device and quickly place against side of clean finger. Press to activate lancet, then remove from skin (Don’t hesitate, it’s a quick prick!).

Step 3: Collecting Blood Sample

Once you have made the necessary preparations, you’re ready to begin taking your blood sample:

  1. Turn on meter by pressing ‘OK’ button.
  2. Insert test strip into port located at top of device.
  3. Wait for the flashing drop symbol (▼) to appear on display screen.
  4. Touch tip of test strip right section with blood droplet, not too hard!
    5.Wait for result whether glucose level is High or low
    6.Record reading in logbook if desired (but really who has time for that?)

Step 4: Changing Your Device Battery

Finally, all great things must end as they say, and although this device comes with one battery included, eventually it will die out.. Don’t panic! Replacing the One Touch Verio Flex meter’s battery is easy:

1.Open up back cover then discard used battery safely ie NOT IN THE TRASH !
2.Insert new replacement battery correctly according to instruction provided
3.Verify correct placement by ensuring blinking U icon appears on screen
Remember ,never leave a dead cell when expecting prompt results,it could damage equipment.
