How to take care of mouth and teeth?
Are you tired of your teeth looking like those little yellow chicklets? Maybe your breath is so bad that people run away from you whenever you open your mouth. Fear not, dear reader! With a little bit of effort, you can have the pearly whites and minty-fresh breath that would make even grandma jealous.
Brushing Your Teeth
The first step in taking care of your teeth is brushing them regularly. And no, regularly does not mean once a week when it’s convenient for you. You should be brushing at least twice each day: once in the morning after breakfast and once before bed.
Choose the Right Toothbrush
There are two types of toothbrushes available: manual toothbrushes and electric ones. Both work welll (wellll) but an electric toothbrush will help motivate lazy brushers into doing a better job.
Using Appropriate Toothpaste
Not all toothpastes are created equal – there are crappy ones out there too. Look for fluoride-based products as they strengthen teeth enamel ^1 . It will also discourage any cavity-causing bacteria living on surfaces inside our mouths.
Floss Like A Boss
No matter how great our brusher we may think we are, flossing is still necessary ^(2). Food particles tend to cling between teeth and flossing can remove these debris stuck within ‼️to prevent decay 🤮 or gum disease 😷.
Use dental floss at least daily to clean crevices between different pairs/multiples of teeth👩⚕️
Cutting Down On Sugar Intake 🧂
Tooth care habits alone won’t work unless this big one’s taken seriously – ⛔ reducing sugar intake!! Yes sugary treats taste delicious but please remember that harmful bacteria feed off these and then produce acid, which in turn can damage the enamel of our teeth-❗Ouch!!!
A List Of Sugary Treats To Avoid:
• Soda drinks
• 🍩 Donuts
• Ice cream🍦 plus pure sugar laced desserts.
Mouthwash
Mouthing off isn’t what we mean by using mouthwash but it’s an essential step towards taking proper care of your teeth™️. It will freshen your breath while also helping to kill those cavity-causing bacteria.
But wait a second. You’re telling me that I should not just brush or floss? Unfortunately (Unfooooortunately), with brushing and flossing alone, you still may have bad breath (stinky breath) as pieces of food maybe stuck even further back branches within ourselves (our mouths ) where brushes and thread mightn’t reach🤯
A Search For The Right Mouthwash
Look for a product containing fluoride ????that fights cavities!??+ before adding any other elements like alcohol who serve up more harm than good😳 especially when abused !
Regular Dental Checkups
Take it from someone who has undergone several painful dental procedures – this is something you do not want to delay!! Going for regular dental check-ups means identifying possible problems early on so they won’t become severe in the future??
How Often Should One Visit The Dentist?
It’s advised‼️to visit the dentist every six months💺,, however0⃣ if one experiences discomfort or soreness feel free🆓you are encouraged♀️ go ahead spoil yourself !
Especially if enjoying sweets with abandon!
Healthy Intake Is Key 🥒🐟
The things we consume make a significant impact on oral health sustainance . Munching crunchy veggies such as carrots x celery sticks improves circulation around gums reducing the chances of gum💀 diseases. While, avoiding tobacco will save you from the obvious nicotine-stained teeth!!! So hard to get rid of that!
A List Of Healthy Foods:
• Leafy Greens Eg. Spinach and kales ;
• Fruits such as apples and pears
• Carrots and celery sticks
Skipping Oral Care Is Not An Option❌
It’s important to remember forgoing our oral care routine impacts on us than we might think!! Poor dental habits can lead to infections causing lifelong pain plus require invasive restoration protocols like extraction in some cases🤕.
By following steps ✔️✔️of brushing regularly, cutting down sugar intake, using mouthwash, flossing frequently ,healthy food consumption & Routine Dental Check-ups : You’re likely going have that radiant smile everyone’s gonna be envious about😎!
