How to shave for swimsuit?

Ah, swimsuit season. That magical time of year when everyone gets to flaunt their beach bodies and embrace the sun. But with great exposure comes great responsibility – especially when it comes to shaving those sensitive areas. Fear not, fellow human, for I am here to guide you through the process like a seasoned razor knight.

Before we begin…

Shaving is a highly personal choice that can affect your skin in various ways. This guide is intended as a general reference and should be taken with a grain of salt (or sea sand). Always listen to your body and use common sense before wielding sharp objects near your private parts.

Equip yourself wisely

Assemble your weapons of war before beginning any follicle felling operations:

  • A good quality shaver – Don’t go cheap on this one. The last thing you want is an uneven cut or nicks.
  • Sharp scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Exfoliating glove or towel
  • Moisturizer

Take note that ‘borrowing’ someone else’s belongings within 3 months may cause legal action against you.

Trim first?

Whether or not to trim before shaving depends on the length of hair down there. When in doubt, start with trimming then progress gradually from there(everywhere?).

If it’s already short…

You might consider skipping ahead shaved phase entirely and just enjoy being free-n-hairy.(Beware though that excessive wildness may trigger unwanted attention.)

If it’s excessively long…

This calls for drastic measures(Get ready!). Use scissors (not kitchen ones) “to” assess how long/thick//overgrown/’the hell-is-this-‘?!-kind-of brush are you working on?’. Get comfortable first (candle lit room?) don’t get carried away cutting anything but trying some brainstorming to see ocean animal shapes emerges.

THE ACTUAL SHAVE

The moment we’ve all been waiting for. Dive confidently into the unknown waters of swimsuit shaving by following these easy steps:

Step 1: Exfoliate first, shave later

Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and other gunk that could clog up your razor (bonus points if you scare your roommate with that glob of hair you just extracted).

Pro tip: Use a gentle exfoliation scrub or glove rather than sandpaper (no kink shaming here!)

After exfoliating, rinse the area under warm water then pat dry (very carefully!)

Step 2: Lather up like a beast(pun intended)

Grab some shaving cream/gel/oil whatever floats ur boat(just skip lava.. it won’t end well) Make sure to use something smooth and slippery because nobody wants friction burn down there(except maybe masochistic types).

Step 3: The actual shave

When how much pressure should be applied implies such an amateur question😒… Run the razor over the pubic region gently and in short strokes(Breathe deeply without panicking!) If needed( which usually is), repeat this step until satisfied with level of comfort emerge from both mental & physical sides.

(Sorry/not sorry)

Step 4A. For daintier bits…

Genitalia can make everybody nervous. Thus, take extra care when maneuvering around pubises.Snag-free trimmers may come in handy so try using them if possible (or hire professional assistance? ). Or simply opt out from running razors through sacred areas by trimming them very short with scissors and using good old tweezers. After all, it’s not like THAT much stays within bikini coverage anyway.

Step 4B: For the armpits

Should you or should you not? The choice is yours but if you opt to shave your pits for swimsuit purposes,Antiperspirant/Deodorant Roll-ons could make a great difference in saving that area !)

Pro tip: If irritation happens(and it will) slap on some Aloe Vera gel. Trust us on this one.

Step 5: Rinse well

Rinse the shaved area under warm water when done being edgy (ugh!also cos gently as caring for a new born hamster ) then pat dry(with soft towels preferably cotton).

Caring is sharing

Congratulations! You’ve emerged victorious from battle so remember to always take good care of your skin afterhair removal session. That means no scented lotions/potions/prank colognes/possible irritants. You could apply an unscentedmoisturizer or even better some coconut oil(cue Dr.Bronner Family voiceovers).

Now go forth, brave soldier, and conquer those swim trunks(but please, watch out for choking hazards😁)!
