Here’s what you need:
Before we dive into the nitty-gritty, let’s go over some equipment that will make heating up your trifecta meals easier than trying to teach a cat how to speak French.
- Microwave
- Oven
- Stove (optional)
- Frying pan (also optional)
Told ya it would be easy! Now let’s get started.
To Microwave or Not To Microwave?
Ah yes, the age-old question – should I use the microwave or oven? Let me put it this way: if speed is what you’re after (and who isn’t?), then by all means pop that sucka in the microwave for two minutes and boom – piping hot food at your fingertips!
However (comma) if taste is more important…say hellooo to crispy veggies and tender meats cooked just right (finger gesture resembling kiss off fingers accompanied with clicking sound) Oh yeah baby…we are talking next level chef action here!
Steps for Microwaving Your Trifecta Meal:
- Take out your tray out of its packaging container.
- Peel back plastic film from tray.
- Place tray in center of turntable in micorwave face-up.
- Choose appropriate heating setting:
- 1000 watts – full power
- 800-900 watts – medium-high
5 Become one with that number pad, baby! Entering two minutes (or appropriate time from instructions on your specific trifecta meal) cooking time.
- Press start button and watch that timer count down like it’s New Year’s Eve!
- Once microwave beeps, take tray out of the oven with mitts or towels to prevent burns (comma) both from yourself who are participating in this not recommended activity hands-first AND so called tray containing oh so hot food.
- Let your trifecta meal stand for a minute before serving.
That’s it folks – microwaving at its finest!
If You’re Using an Oven:
Are you fancy pants with access to an oven? Well aren’t we lucky! Not only does using an oven give your meals more flavor than Ben & Jerry combined (and do they make flavors like that people?!) but when used appropriately mother nature can even help achieve the perfect temperature and crispness like she was always meant to!
Steps for Baking Your Trifecta Meal:
- Preheat oven according to directions specified on package
2 Remove movie gone wild film wrapping
3 Peel back plastic film around tray (taking care not expose your bare fingers which may result in harm; remember safety first) - Place directly onto lower rack if desired based on given instructions (why go high when low balls will work better here)
5 Set timer for designated amount of time found elegantly printed somewhere outside packaging material such as: “Bake for 25 min at 375F” right there plain and simple just waiting for somone clever enough ot read them clearly
6 Once complete, remove from oven (duh!) using those same mitts or towel prevention measures mentioned earlier
Caution: The container is going to be HOTTTT!! Don’t burn ya hand off trying get all John Wayne-y over what should otherwise be common sense.
With that lemon pepper chicken calling your name (hopefully not spilling it!), you can get busy enjoying your delicious meal cooked to perfection – high-five!
Grilling Your Trifecta Meals
Is summer knocking on the door and we’re all itching to switch up our routine with a little bit of grilling? Well folks, gotcha covered there too! With just a pan and heat on the stove top (or an actual grill if available), in no time you too can experience that oh-so-amazing grilled flavor even without having go outside.
Steps for Grilling Your Trifecta Meal:
- Spray cooking oil onto non-stick frying pan
- Heat frying pan over medium-high heat
- Remove tray from outer packaging
4 Peal back plastic film covering tray based instructions provided.
5 Carefully place protein-side down “up” (the side facing upwards) inside pre-heated pan
6 Cook for around five minutes, or until crispy-like texture is acheived
7 Don’t forget to check regularly so meat doesn’t burn beyond recognition!( No one wants that do they?!
8 Once complete turn off stove eye burner component things are extra hot as well remember)
It’s finally ready ouoohhh this leaving me craving some now…..Got rice or gravy sauce nearby …oh wait let’s finish writing! (Cart before horse?)
So….you done broilin’ those veggies??
Yeehawww!!! We have liftoff!! It may take slightly longer than microwaving but ho boy what difference it makes!
Here are Some Little Tips: (something witty)
-
Always follow recommended temperature and cook times from instructions found outsid eof packagining material.( Especially important when dealing with uncooked meats!)
-
Avoid putting containers under direct fire flames licking at its sides like misplaced frinds during campfire poetry sessions-So don’t get too close- and be sure to keep a safe distance for the perfect cook!
-
Know your appliances well. Every oven, microwaves stove have their own specifications on cooking times, temperatures and power requirements depending on its brand so what worked in Mama’s kitchen may need some tweakingin yours.
