First things first let’s get down to basics, what exactly is ‘fatty liver disease’? Well (brace yourselves) it’s when fat accumulates in your liver, making up more than 5% – 10% of the total weight. Say whaaat?? How does that happen? In simple terms- an overconsumption of alcohol or calories can cause excess triglycerides (fat) buildup over time.

A mild condition may not present any symptoms initially; however persistent severe cases could lead to chronic hepatitis inflammation and even permanent scarring known as cirrhosis wherein tissue replaces healthy cells causing organ failure. So don’t procrastinate taking care of your liver folks!

Your cuppa has caffeine & multiple antioxidants compounds which seem like they would pose a negative impact on your organs but some studies suggest consumption may lower the risk for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis including diabetes too.
