How to get an abscess to pop?

Abscesses are annoying little blobs filled with pus that just don’t seem to go away. They’re like that clingy ex you can’t seem to shake off (we’ve all been there). If you’re someone who has had an abscess before, you understand how much it can suck. The pain, the swelling, and most importantly – the fact that it’s damn near impossible to get this thing to pop! Well, fear not my friends because in this guide we will teach you everything you need to know about getting those pesky abscesses gone for good!

What is an Abscess?

Before diving into how we can make these things pop like a bottle of champagne, let’s first discuss what exactly is an abscess. Simply put – An abscess(o too many s words) is a localized infection characterized by a collection of pus (dead cells/tissue fluid (yuck)) inside a body cavity or tissue presenting as swelling and inflammation.

Now without further ado

Let us begin the journey towards popping your absces

It should be noted – before attempting any of the below methods – if your abs‘S’ess appears infected or painful after treatment see ‘med’, without delay! And now:
1. Warm compress
2.Iodine solution
3.Castor oil 4.Gin-soaked raisins
5.Turmeric milk
6.Bloodroot paste

Method #1: Warm Compress

The warm compress method is one of the oldest tricks in the book when it comes to treating anything on your skin (#protip). Now here’s what’cha do: soak a clean washcloth in hot water and apply it over the affected area for 10-15 minutes several times daily ,this may promote “ripe-ness” helping the abscess to pop on its own (like popcorn).
– Pro tip: Be sure towel is not too hot or you can burn yourself.

Please note standard disclaimers, this information should not be taken as medical advice and does NOT replace seeing a practitioner in-person. Especially, if pain persists.

Method #2: Iodine Solution

Iodine has been used for centuries due to it’s antiseptic properties (think Listerine of skin-level infections). Now how do we use it? Simple! Take a cotton ball or Q-tip soaked with iodine solution and apply it directly over the affected area (be sure not to spill any because iodine stains like nobody’s business). Do this every day until the abscess pops – trust us, it will eventually give way!

Method #3 Castor oil

If you haven’t heard of castor oil already then I don’t know where you’ve been hiding! This stuff works miracles when it comes to treating an array of ailments from dry scalp ,to constipation, acne & even abscesses.ItsMildly-nasty taste aside, let’s talk application -soak clean gauze in warm Castor Oil applying directly onto the abscess.Secure with dressing/ gauze… Best done before bedtime

Method #4 Gin-Soaked Raisins

Now hear me out…These ain’t your grandma’s raisins…whenever anyone “offers”, take advantage ! Not only are they delicious but can apparently help treat skin conditions. Here is what-not-to-do at home: Soak golden raisins overnight in gin(we recommend Hendricks) remove setting them atop wax paper for 1 day (this step isn’t completely necessary);once dried, consumption time baby! eat about nine raisins/garlic clove daily until the abscess erupts. Cheers!

Method #5: Turmeric Milk

Turmeric has been long recognized for its therapeutic benefits. It is known that it can reduce inflammation of all sorts and…here’s how to apply… Mix turmeric with milk (2tsps each) & prepare a paste.Apply the mix onto‘the abscess (or bandage laden area if need be), wrap in clingfilm and leave overnight – this could improve ‘Ripe-ness’

Method #6 Bloodroot paste

Last but definitely not least, we have bloodroot paste. This little-known technique works wonders when it comes to getting your abscesses ready to pop! Here’s what you do:
Combine red sea algae and Oregon Grape root powder together until they become clumped forming wet mud consistency.’ smear the mixture over the affected region giving a gentle pat down.. The clay-like texture will dry on top of the skin acting as quick thickened layer seeping out infected pus.Begin daily treatments for at least 7-10 days(more depending) .

Bottom line

Abscess removal is no joke… It shouldn’t be played with either.Seek professional advice from medical experts. However these steps above towards aiding an Abscess Pop may help (but by no means cure).Try them at your own risk!
