How to cure multiple personality disorder?

Welcome, dear reader! Are you struggling with multiple personality disorder and looking for a solution? Fear not, because I’ve compiled a guide that will help cure you of this pesky problem. So sit back, relax, and let’s get started!

The Basics of Multiple Personality Disorder

Before we jump into the cure, let’s understand what we’re dealing with here. Multiple personality disorder (MPD) is a dissociative disorder in which an individual has two or more distinct personalities that switch control over their behavior and consciousness.

Fun fact: MPD was officially renamed as Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) by the American Psychiatric Association in 1994. But since “Multiple Personality” sounds way cooler than “Dissociative Identity,” we’ll stick to using MPD.

The exact cause of MPD is unknown but it’s believed to stem from trauma experienced during childhood. Symptoms include memory lapses/lapses in concentration along with distorted perceptions like seeing things differently or hearing things nobody else can hear.

Now that we have an understanding of what MPD entails let’s dive into our guide on how to cure it once and for all!

Tip #1: Find Your Inner Voice

One way to tackle MPD is through introspection; getting lost in your thoughts allows you time/space/breathing room/etc. It also helps connect with yourself (your true self), so it becomes easier for YOU (yes, YOU!)to figure out who the “real” person inside truly is instead of living several lives at once.

How does one achieve this inner voice thing? Simple: meditation! Sit down comfortably – cross-legged if possible- focus on your breaths while trying NOT TO THINK OF ANYTHING… woohoo easy right?! Nope! It may sound simple but shutting off EVERY thought requires practice (we didn’t say it would be easy). Practice makes perfect, after all.

Tip #2: Make a List of Your Personalities

You have to know your enemy to destroy it…or something like that. So get out your pen and paper (physical or digital) and start listing out the characters in order from most dominant personality down to the least so you can figure out every little detail about them .

List their preferred music genres, odors/scents they love/hate, etc. Knowing tiny details helps create awareness and disconnects those personalities plus you learn things about yourself yay!

Fun fact: The movie “Split” with James McAvoy is terrifying but filled with inaccuracies regarding MPD/DID which shouldn’t come as news/rumours abound (allegedly) in Hollywood shows of evidence-based scripts existing.

Tip #3: Integration & Negotiation

Now that we have our list of individuals at hand, let’s move onto integrating/negotiating between each self/alter until we can live cohesively as 1 entity instead of managing/coordinating multiple ones (remember no such thing as half measures work for chaos!)

How do we negotiate? By creating dialogue ie having conversations within yourself because there are different outlooks depending on who’s controlling the body please don’t yell at strangers passing by they won’t understand just stick below!!

For instance- You’re craving pizza while switching over? Guess what Rachel prefers Salad…well too bad – find a compromise where neither satisfies nor sacrifies remember an integrated being is more powerful than chaotic one/no matter how delicious Salads are… okay moving on…

Tip #4: Seek Professional Help

Sometimes even if through methods above self may not suffice then its time seek professional help folks! A therapist trained/studies researching/treating MPD cases would be very beneficial.Though initial outset outright daunting but ‘every Hero needs mentor’!

They will help guide you through the steps needed to integrate your multiple personalities and offer useful tools that train in managing more than one or sometimes many! At times it can be a lonely journey but guidance from mentors and loved ones alike always bring forth hope.

Fun fact: Dr. Cornelia Wilbur who helped Sybil also known as Shirley Ardell Mason; probably most famous MPD case of book “Sybil” which was turned into movies/TV shows etc., proved integration is possible after intensive therapy (that does not involve hypnosis)!

Tip #5: Believe in Yourself

One may wonder how believing yourself connects with curing MPD. It goes hand-in-hand with creating self-awareness, building confidence & trusting 1 decisions instead arguing/agreeing with multiple selves all the time.. can you imagine? What a nightmare!!

Remember each personality plays/is an essential role part of YOU/the true self named WE keep reinforcing this idea because You are NOT your disorder just as cancer doesn’t define people afflicted by it neither does MPD…You are unique/beautiful/have qualities desirable so Don’t let anything (even if it’s swimming within yourself) stop believe altogether!

In conclusion- We hope our tips help those diagnosed dissociative disorders out there regain control over their lives/busybees , connect deeper within themselves on individual level whilst simultaneously integrating personalities together empowering them toward healthier/safer futures! However, we must reiterate that these tips should not take place above medical attention ie seeking mixed treatment medics/trained professional would be valuable addition to everyone’s arsenal & provide guidance mentioned throughout article.

Thanks for sticking around till now. Keep your head up buttercup/buffalo soldier (whatever floats ur multi-personality boats). Remember improvement takes time+practice – eye on prize folks!/We’ll say goodbye for now cheers enjoy going back normal!!
