How do u know if ur dog is sick?

As paw-rents, it’s our responsibility to keep an eye on our pup’s health. But let’s be honest – sometimes it can be ruff to tell when something isn’t quite right with them! In this guide, we’ll go over some signs that your pooch might not be feeling their best, and what you can do about it.

Sniffles and sneezes

Just like humans, dogs can catch colds too. So if your four-legged friend seems a bit under the weather, look out for the following symptoms:

  • Sneezing
  • Coughing
  • Runny nose
  • Watery eyes

If your dog has any of these symptoms but otherwise seems fine (eating normally, playing as usual), there’s probably nothing to worry about. However, if they start showing more serious symptoms such as lethargy or loss of appetite, it might be time for a vet visit.

Upset tummy

You don’t need us to tell you that having diarr or vomiting is never fun…and the same goes for dogs! If your furry friend has been suffering from an upset stomach, here are some things to watch out for:

  • Diarr
  • Vomiting
  • Loss of appetite
  • Lethargy

Again, don’t panic straight away – often times these symptoms will resolve themselves within a day or two with rest and plenty of water. However,if they continue beyond 24 hours, make sure you take Fido in for a check-up at the vet.

Paws looking tender?

When was the last time you took a good look at your pup’s paws? Their unique pads allow them run around without injuring themselves outside; so while taking care in checking their foot-pads is important normallly,it does become crucia when the weather outside is cold or there are harsh grounds. If you notice any of these on their paws, it might be time for a paw-dicure:

  • Cuts
  • Swelling
  • Redness/irritation

If your dog seems to be licking at their paws more frequently than usual,or limping around as if they’re uncomfortable – both may hint that something’s wrong. So hurry up and take some vet advice.

Unusual behaviour

Every dog has their quirks and behaviours; But sometimes our furry friends will start acting out of character. Here are a few red flags to look out for :

  • Excessive scratching/grooming which results in hair fall.
  • Sleeps more than usual.
  • Avoidance from a usually favorite person/situation/toy etc.

It’s worth seeking professional help if your pet’s behavior is concerning moreover if it seems unsual so let experts handle them.

Lethargy

Some days we all prefer being snuggled up with blankets all day long. But lethargy over the course of several days,is not something to neglect. It can become quite serious.Upon seeing anything similar:

1.Make sure they’re drinking plenty water
2.Check their gums (they should have good color)
3.Check temperature

Overall, knowing what signs of illness in dogs look like can save you many sleepless nights worrying about your furry friend’s health.A little awareness always goes a long way towards keeping them fit n fine!
