In clinical studies, weight gain has been reported by about 4.5 percent of patients taking trazodone. It is therefore considered as a “common” side effect which means that it can occur in more than 1 percent of patients taking this drug. Usually, trazodone-induced weight gain is not a major problem.

Can or does trazadone raise blood sugars? No. Trazodone can effect heart rhythm but best to my knowledge, has no effect on the level of sugar in one’s blood level. You might ask your doctor or pharmacist to confirm or have their opinion. I’m trying to find out if this drug cause blood sugar to be high,if anyone else knows please let me know.
