Does the temperature of child increase with growth?

We’ve all heard stories about how a baby feels warmer than an adult, some people even claim they can tell just by touching them. So naturally, we wonder if there is any truth to the idea that the temperature of a child increases as they grow older.

Well buckle up ladies and gentlemen, because today we’re going to be diving into this question headfirst. Don’t worry though, I’ll do my best not to make you feel like you’re back in school being lectured on things no one cares about.

What exactly is body temperature anyway?

Before we start trying to identify whether or not there’s an increase in body temperature with age, let’s make sure everyone knows what exactly our baseline definition for body temperature should be.

Simply put, body temperatures refers to your internal core measurement of heat and/or energy produced within your body at rest.

It’s measured via clinical thermometers placed in various areas known for high blood flow rates throughout ones’ bodie, such as armpits, between ones upper thigh and even their ear canal!

But did anyone ever tell us why sometimes these different measurements are recorded instead of from say,the mouth, toenail or hands?

Fun fact:Temperature readings located outside our vital organs-say around mouth, might fluctuate more frequently thereby registering false positive changes caused by maybe something as simple as sipping hot tea during the few minuets before testing.

Let’s dive into it

So let’s dig right into it guys….Does your little bundle of joy indeed sport(or will) higher brain burning temperatures while growing up drastically seemingly indicating immediate danger?

In short: No,to espouse honestly. But why would someone think/ presume otherwise?

The thinking behind this theory comes down mainly due mishmash: One assumption leads others pathologically onto another until voilà! A whole theory to you. And it seems the idea started when infants were measured against adults, though this was mainly due tondifferent anatomical features(infants having a soft spot, say). As such, the temperature lower measurement prompted experts to assume any difference marked growth unlike just mere medical method and making everything altogether a bit messy.

Even more disruptive yet, is that feverish symptoms are often recorded in these kiddo’s- leading to quite an exaggerated thought on any normalised readings hence cementing said myth.

This really isn’t too surprising though,is it?It’s not like we don’t hear of oversimplified myths. They come packaged as questions seeking certain outcomes, and by being vague can always warrant further discussion(but no need for seriously can we get back sane convos?)!

So let me break down the heat

If your child has been healthy overall, you would have frequently visited their doctor’s office(hopefully!). I am sure you’ve noticed how routine checks are conducted at varied times during ones’ lifespan.

Of course, this involves recording simple variables-based off vitals signs,in order to detect any bug or illness even if mild(e.g high resting heart rate signs up huge on detection).

Now once assumptions due overhearing stories from other parents/friends etc debunked-a fresh approach toward objective fact-finding should ensue(nature knows best ). A ‘Normal Body Temperature Range’ falls perfectly between 97 °F (36.1°C)—99°F(37.2°C) and considered optimal; But unfortunately enough each individual may exhibit varying range slightly-it all comes down based on unique factors-yikes!

When comparing new-borns however,it tends set differently towards higher temps-rigid body temperaments per say ranging around 98 °F (36.7℃) initially and slowly falling around age 6,in span wise including puberty whereagain another low gradient rise begins averaging till about mid to late twenties before finally tapering off).

Growth is a factor here of course but only indirectly.

What I mean,possums-is that growth shouldn’t be inherently the correlate used either for actual body-heat readings nor during testing!

Well, what can cause an increase in temperature then?

Look folks:First things first-growing doesn’t have much tangible play on terms of a rising spike to your child’s normal heat energies-but as always reactions to external factors or infections could very problematic and thusly pose abnormalities i.e readings being out of range.

Some extrinsic factors might include:

  • Wearing too many heavy layers(especially if it’s not warm outside)
  • Engaging In rigorous activities
  • Taking certain medications(pain killers,antibiotics..you get my drift)
  • Immunization shots

Internal diseases,e.g bacterial infections, cold sores, strep throat, viral fever also serve quite the blow.

One more thing is secondary infection/multiorgan failure situation where patients’ continually high temp readings seem unexplainable, and therefore called w-syndrome HOTNANA! Note such cases are rare occurrences with meticulous intensive monitoring/therapy throughout-inclusive genomic sequencing(research pending)or biochemical urine samples.

The Bottom Line:

In conclusion, the amount by which our internal temperatures fluctuate does not burgeon unlike those comical cartoon scenarios!!!

The kids might be alright,people-and you might just have something else entirely irrational coming up with this random idea-at least blame your mom this time;it’s okay actually we’ll forgive her ;).

Oh,and r remember!! Always consult doctor when Uh-huh(body language)aah-you feeling hot-hot-hot!(cue Despacito) …. Sorry .It was there waiting wasn’t it?

Anyways take care people, you’ve been wonderful company 🙂
