Dating rules when to call?

Dating rules have always been a funny subject to tackle for all genders. There are the obvious ones like don’t be late, dress nicely, and smell good but what about calling? Should you wait three days before calling or should you call right away? What do these rules even mean in today’s world where texts and social media have changed the dating game? In this article, we will dive deeper into the dos and don’ts of calling your potential partner.

To Wait, Or Not to Wait That is The Question

The age-old question remains: How long should one wait before making that first phone call after a date? Some people believe that waiting for two or three days creates an air of mystery around them. Others think it’s just pure absurdity/idiocy/stupidness (pick at least 2).
Regardless of which camp you fall under, there aren’t any concrete dating rules that say waiting is mandatory. But if you feel strongly about playing hard-to-get then go ahead! Just try not to stray too far from normal behavior by disappearing altogether because no amount of ‘mystery’ can make up for absence.

The Right Time Of Day

When choosing what time of day to give someone a ring ahem, consider both yourself & their daily schedule as well.
Here’s some daytime ideas:

  • Try giving them a call before lunch – they’re likely free
  • Don’t assume everyone finishes work at 5 pm; ask whether they finish work earlier/later
  • Avoid bombarding someone late at night with calls when chances are high they want some R&R instead
As much as we’d love it not to be true, timing can affect how somebody feels towards us especially during early stages. Showing consideration shows attentiveness so let interest build nice n slow kinda like feeding birds on onitaliano balcony haha!

Bein’ Low-Key

It’s essential to remember that a person also has other responsibilities- work, family, and friends. Calling too frequently may be overwhelming if done excessively and it’s recommended not to call more than two times per week unless there are special circumstances (like they need emotional support or you’re having some 4am epiphany).
If the person you’re dating is busy and cannot talk on their Skype calls due to work-related activities then accept this graciously. Reversely when that one phone chat goes well avoid overdoing it next step girl!

What If They Don’t Call You Back?

Call them again but give your date some space – just because someone doesn’t return your call immediately doesn’t mean they don’t want to see you again! If after three days or so of still no contact…well maybe read between the lines sis.
As much as we’d love for everyone to display perfect communication skills all times – people can be forgetful &/or preoccupied.

Calling in dating is quite different now compared with previously when there was only one device used worldwide – landlines (aka things attached walls that rang). Today mobile phones dominate making information sharing easy peasy with just a few swipes; reaching out instantaneously whenever needed.

The jury is thus split on whether playing hard-to-get remains an acceptable mentality but certainly being considerate regardless makes any interaction more pleasant for those involved. Don’t bombard loved ones with endless messages however checking up occasionally demonstrates caring nature proving valuable in long-term relationships.
So until text messages become obsolete for good, always take note of what timing suits best & never underestimate importance giving others time in order show respect 😉 !

Remember folks: slow n steady wins race-sometimes LOL
