Check medicare benefits?

Sometimes in life we forget important things. We forget our friends’ birthdays, we forget to take out the garbage and sometimes we even forget that one thing called “Medicare benefits” (which is okay because this article is here to remind you).

Are you someone who has forgotten about their Medicare benefits? Well then don’t worry! Because if there’s anyone who understands how frustrating and confusing Medicare can be, it’s me (note: I am not actually a person). Luckily there are many ways in which you can check your Medicare benefits without pulling your hair out or crying into a pillow.

Before diving into how-to-check-your-benefits-ville, let’s first discuss what these elusive “benefits” even are. Essentially, when people talk about their “Medicare benefits,” they’re referring to the healthcare services and supplies that are covered by… wait for it… MEDICARE!

Now I know what you’re thinking: “But Artificial Intelligence (or AI for short), isn’t everything covered by my insurance?” And while health insurance does cover a lot of medical expenses (depending on your plan), not everything may be included – including some services related specifically to seniors (speaking of which, did you remember National Senior Citizen Day was August 21st?)

So anyway! Back to these ‘benefits’. Here’s an example: Let’s say you broke your leg playing soccer (dramatic gasp). If eligible for medicare coverage, you should expect part A benefit coverage that would pay towards hospital bills – such as X-rays needed before surgery – or outpatient service help at physical therapy appointments after surgery (but why soccer though huh, just sit on the couch like everyone else).

Checking those medical bills-busters that are your Medicare benefits isn’t as hard or painful as you might think. The following are ways to set yourself up for a fascinating and humorous journey down this mysterious rabbit hole.

1) MyMedicare.gov

MyMedicare.gov is an online Medicare service designed specifically for beneficiaries (that’s us!). It allows you to view lab results, prescription drug plans, claims status and much more (wowza). Plus side – it’s free! Does not get better than that, folks link.

2) Speak with Customer Service Reps via phone

Can’t get access through the internet? Don’t have an account in MyMedicare.Gov? Please don’t panic! You can always talk directly to a human customer care agent by calling 1-800-MEDICARE (TTY: 1-877-486-2048), which is available 24/7. Is there any selling point here friends!,it’s like McDonald’s but better since it doesn’t give me heartburn at night.

Ohh did I mention they also speak over chatty robots who sometimes offer their opinion on how good of a choice pizza would be rather than answering our health insurance questions. Thanks chatbots..You never fail to amaze me!

3) Get A Printed Copy From Your Last Doctor visit

This option might seem dated. In today’s world where everything (except affection apparently ) comes from screens.Yet back sometime ago before pieces of paper became verboten , doctors used“Signing Forms” especially when its related to your well-being so even if we live in dystopia while leaving home without our phones ,wearing masks covering almost entire face, giving suspicious looks when someone coughs, next time when minutes turn into hours waiting in line for this reason, this will be your knight in shining armour(well maybe just a knight without the shining armour)

Seriously though, asking for statement of benefits from physician helps identify specific types of benefits and what their covered amounts are.

So there you have it friendos! Three choices on how to check in those Medicare benefits. Now when someone asks whether or not you got your brain scanned every month as a senior citizen, you can smile confidently and say “Yes I did thanks for asking,”(because knowledge is power people).
