What is the lowest dose of Buspar? The recommended starting dose of BuSpar is 5 mg twice daily. The dose may be increased by 5 mg every 2 to 3 days, with a maximum dose that generally does not exceed 60 mg.

These side effects may include: Impotence, also known as erectile dysfunction or ED. BuSpar is known to cause changes in sex drive (also known as libido), including increased or decreased sex drive.

When should I take buspirone? Buspirone is usually given two to three times a day. Your doctor will tell you how often to give it. Twice each day: this should be once in the morning and once in the evening. Ideally, these times are 10–12 hours apart, for example some time between 7 and 8 am, and between 7 and 8 pm.

Can Buspar make you more anxious? In brief: Yes. Buspirone is has been known to increase agitation, restlessness and nervousness in a small percentage of individuals. Other rare side effects that may contribute to feelings of anxiety include problems with concentration, sleep, panic, and shortness of breath and rapid heart rate.
