Can t walk on heel?

Heels are the spice of life (and just like spicy food, they can also make you cry). You wear them for a special occasion or because it gives your outfit that extra awesomeness. But what do you do when walking in heels reminds you of Bambi learning how to walk? Walking in heels might seem easy, but not everyone is born with Lady Gaga’s balancing skills.

Crying over spilled milk won’t help! But fear not my dear reader, we got some game-changing tips that will have you strutting in those stilettos without feeling like Gisele Bundchen’s less stylish cousin.

Take It Slow

First things first: Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was Victoria Beckham’s heel collection. Start wearing low heels/ platforms/ wedge shoes before leveling up to stilettos. Wear them at home and practice standing, walking around the house, stretching after all baby steps lead to progress, right?

Size matters

Just like they say “size matters,” size does matter when it comes to high heels too. If your shoe doesn’t fit well then even walking for two minutes would feel more uncomfortable than Lorelai Gilmore waiting quietly while Luke Danes fixes her drip coffee – boring!

Always ensure that the front half of your foot rests comfortably inside the shoe and the back part snuggles against your heel nicely. If there’s any empty space behind or above your heel (creepy), Mayday—Mayday—abort mission! Don’t think twice; just let these vampire slayer boots go.

Rise & Shine

Romeo had Juliette , Sonny had Cher , Noah had Allie ; similarly height challenged people have high heels! Finding yourself amongst us petite women folk ? Do YOU want those extra inches without doctors getting involved? Go ahead, own those extra inches by choosing heels with thicker soles. They might not be as graceful as stiletto but they will give you the height, confidence and balance you need.

Thick Soles

We’re not talking about mom’s orthopedic sneakers here ! Thick sole heels are definitely in these days; Bold and stylish babes swear by them already! These beauties have wider base stabilization, thus offering more support while walking or standing. Yes Queen let’s walk like a champ!

Or better yet: No one ever said no to platforms/thick soles – they offer stability without sacrificing your “walking” style because we all know- us gals gotta rock some glam!

GET TIPSY

Toes blisters? yes please—not! The toe area is the most important part of every shoe design when it comes to foot comfortability. If shoes aren’t optimized for ease at toes , expect discomfort after an hour or two……or even worse than that !

A slight incline from the ball of your foot towards heel can relieve forefoot pressure, taking stress off of toes immensely. Hence always try to avoid completely flat sole high-heel shoes ~PSA ALERT: Unless you usually run around on pointed rocks everywhere~ .

Fun Fact

Tall order Just got overheard this story about how men used to wear high heeled boots centuries ago . Initially only royal European dudes sported it-high heeled footwear was designed for equestrian purpose ; clicking their heels together sent commands through horse communication signals …. interesting right?

It wasn’t until people realized that this accessory could send a few things other than coded messages too—like giving much needed height sans anyone being any wiser—that the trend caught on.

I mean who wouldn’t want her red glittery slipper ‘s instead of boring grey ones ? Sparkle & stand out wherever you go!!! Twirl your way in peep-toes, embellished heels or flashy details adding that extra zing to your ensemble; it’s all about those little nuances and not being a basic Jane!

Saunter like a sailor

Billowing sails are glorious on deck of ship but not so much when you’re walking down the street trying out high heels for first time. Walking with a straight posture will ease pressure off your back and stabilizes balance since weight on ball of the foot arch is kept even.

As we say “walk the plank” just kidding – walk as if you’re walking barefoot; heel down, toes tight ,swing alternately ahead in fluid motion during each step – no clomping cause baby got some rhythm!

Get Comfy

No need for judgemental stares – GIRL! Put some gel pads inside your shoes—saving grace yet? These babies are lifesavers providing cushioning & padding hence reducing discomfort and sweating. Alternatively try adhesive moleskin fabric that alleviates friction against skin . This allows feet to glide effortlessly instead of rubbing against sides inside amazing shoes.
