Believe it: Things get better

Are you feeling down lately? Are you stuck in a routine that seems never-ending? Well, let me tell you, things get better. Life has its ups and downs, but it’s important to remember that the lows don’t last forever. Here are some reasons why you should believe in brighter days ahead.

The Power of Positivity

It may sound cliché, but having a positive attitude can make all the difference. When we focus on the good things in life rather than dwelling on our problems, we open ourselves up to new opportunities and experiences. Try starting your day by listing three things that make you happy, whether it be your morning cup of coffee or your furry friend waiting for you at home. By shifting our mindset towards positivity, we invite more joy into our lives.

Learning from Failure

Nobody is perfect – not even those people who seem like they have everything figured out (spoiler alert: nobody does). But instead of letting failure bring us down, we can choose to learn and grow from it. Every mistake is an opportunity to improve ourselves and become stronger individuals. Embracing resilience allows us to bounce back stronger after setbacks.

Recognizing progress

We often put pressure on ourselves to achieve big goals right away and forget about the small victories along the way (small wins technique) . But when we take a step back and look at where we started versus where we are now, there’s always progress worth celebrating (psychological distance theory) . Maybe yesterday running 10 minutes without stopping felt impossible whereas today somehow flew by as if no time had passed – this shift is important! Making consistent progress towards our goals gives us momentum toward bigger successes.

Celebrating Diversity

The world would be a boring place if everyone were exactly alike (yawn). Our differences – whether they be cultural backgrounds or personal quirks – are what make us unique and interesting individuals. By celebrating diversity, we open ourselves up to new perspectives and ideas, widening our view of the world around us (social identity threat theory). Our differences should be celebrated not only in others but within ourselves as well.

Time Heals All Wounds

Breaking up is hard; no one ever said it was easy (ask Adele) . But with time, the pain fades away (time perspective theory). We can use past experiences as lessons learned rather than dwelling on them continuously. The way we handle difficult situations directly affects how quickly we move forward from them.

Building Meaningful Connections

Laughter is contagious! When you have people around you who support and lift you up, life feels more manageable. Take time out of your day for a phone call or lunch with someone that makes laughing come easily – this will always brighten things up! Strengthening bonds with loved ones reminds us that we don’t have to go through anything alone (social network theory) . When times are tough, these relationships help bring a sense of normalcy back into our lives

Embrace Change

Change can be scary but it’s important for growth! Sometimes doing something different offers unexpected rewards by pushing us outside comfort zones where true magic happens magic gesture (transformational leadership theory) ! Whether it be trying a new hobby or switching careers altogether embrace change when opportunity knocks on doors! It may feel uncomfortable at first but the return has limitless potential.

Mental Fortitude

Okay… Let’s not kid ourselves here- Life sucks sometimes just straight-up sucks(don’t lie to yourself) HOWEVER part of becoming stronger is figuring out ways to stay resilient during those down moments. Finding some sort of release like working out , meditation , drawing whatever helps really helps (A LOT) + keeps mental health struggles in check(cognitive-behavioral therapy paradigm) . When our mental fortitude is strong, life’s hiccups don’t seem so daunting – it’s almost like fuel for the soul.

Making a Plan (and sticking to it too!)

Planning ahead of time can ease stressful situations. Where people usually stumble is when they make plans but never follow through with them : / BUT having a direction gives purpose that signals there’s always hope! Whether you’re plotting out a career path or just planning on what to make for Monday Dinner meal prepping , making clear goals and taking small steps toward achieving these aspirations helps build momentum (goal setting theory).

Find your passion

At some point along this journey we call life ask yourself “What makes me jump?” Pursuing passions adds an extra sprinkle of happiness during dull moments .Though money also matters – finding fulfillment in day-to-day living leaves more gratification than solely climbing one dimensional ladders(self-determination process theory). It doesn’t have to be extravagant or complex: If getting lost in cooking videos brings joy then embrace that!

Time Management To Save yourself from being overwhelmed

Beep Beep EVERYONE STOP!
It seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day sometimes. Try listing out responsibilities as well as times where you’d actually like some free time (relaxation counts too)- once the list i made stick by it religiously(time-blocking method) ! Managing daily tasks allows room for creativity instead of feeling trapped + exhausted all the time.

A Little Bit Of Cheesy Can Be Good

Lighten up buttercup! Sometimes cliché catchphrases (especially pronounced jokingly)can boost morale(One again sorry not sorry I mentioned Adele earlier but…) “RUMOR HAS IT:”\~ Cheryl Crow voice \~, positive vibes truly has such good effects. This even means glistening at motivational posters in yucky waiting rooms. Embracing these funny little catchphrases have positive effects that trickle down to our daily interactions.

Obsessing over Goals is a No-No

Yeah, having something to strive for can really give direction and purpose BUT when obsessively focused on end goals we may miss out on important parts along the way. Baby steps matter progress should not only be goal bases but also process oriented (progress principle). Being determined without dismissing what steps needed in making an aspiration achievable creates balance .

Just Keep swimming (cos you know.. Dory)

There are times where it feels like there’s no point in carrying on of persevering -it’s just too hard- (Whiny voice why meeee? but-) Life does get better /can take much longer for some but with effort there is always hope . Perseverance makes us champions because striving even during life’s more obnoxious moments show character.(grit) & endurance!

You ARE A BOSS

Remember all your accomplishments , big or small – those were accomplished by YOU! Remember successes helps remind us of possibilties ahead(self-efficacy theory). Self appreciation undeniably offers confidence boosting powers…. Go twirl around 3x yelling I am AMAZING 🌈

Gratitude Matters

Grateful people seem happier(at least science says so)🧪 (positive psychology). Taking time out for appreciation brings happiness beyond moment while reminding ourselves there will still continue to be good 😊 things even after overcome bumps along road.

Believe me now ? Things do get better ! Whether it’s using humor or celebrating diversity , let yourself embrace change and seek support from others when necessary …YOU GOT THIS!!
