Are there whey protein pills?

Quick, you want to get a protein fix before hitting the gym in 10 minutes. What do you do? You can opt for some grilled chicken, cook up a cartload of egg whites or drink down an entire tub of protein shake^(bonus tip: don’t try this at home if you value your digestive tract).

But what about popping some pills like vitamins or Tylenol? Are there whey protein pills that will save us from chugging chunky shakes and force-feeding bland birds?

The Birth of Whey Protein Powder

Before we dive into the world of whey pills, let’s chat about how whey powder came into existence. Once upon a time in the land of cheese-making, producers had no idea what to do with the leftover liquid when making their beloved curds – this liquid is called whey.

After extensive research (a.k.a being really bored), someone realised they could condense all those amino acids found in whey and create it as powdered supplement. And voila💥! Whey protein powder was born!

Nowadays people around the globe consume billions worth supplements by scooping them into drinks or foods – but not everyone loves its taste…I mean have you ever tried drinking something akin to blended cardboard sprinkled with fake vanilla flavouring?

When Will They Make It Into Pill Form Already…

So why aren’t these companies putting our precious powders^(because swallowing dust is so much easier)into pill form?

One reason may be due their content concentration; For example many servings present only 20g per scoop/bag/whathaveyou.And considering most normal sized tablets contain anywhere between 250mg-1000mg per dose,it seems impossible to shove that amount into one tablet without having giant horsepills that could choke a small elephant.

The other reason is the method it’s meant to be absorbed by our bodies – I’m no scientist but to my understanding, taking in powder makes it easier for our digestive system to break down these supplements into their basic components. And those pesky pills could potentially cause harm by not being completely broken down and leave you with some serious indigestion^(even more painful than that ex who simultaneously broke your heart AND Netflix password).

So…Are There Any Whey Protein Pills?!

Here’s the good news: yes! Sort of…

Whey can come in tablet or capsule form as part of blended stack which include different sources such as casein, collagen,& egg. That means if whey is all you want, you still have options!

Some companies offer products (e.g bpi sport)which do contain concentrated levels;2-3 tablets provide 3 g of pure whey bigram+protein.Bear in mind thought,it might require consuming several doses throughout day just ensure that this protein count accumulates across time.

Another option may involve “mass gainers”,a combination high caloric blend combining mostly carbs along w/ smaller amounts protein.Fat burners/dietary enhancers like CLA/Glucomannan are also infused whey though wait, did we mention even more protein-centric constructs??Frequently fortified food and beverage items exist, such as chips, tuna, and coffee creamer(!)

Can We Just Snack On These Proteins Instead?

Remember when Beanie Babies were all the craze? You probably had at least one stashed sneaky under your bed,in your closet etc. What about soybeans? Have you ever snacked on roasted chickpeas, edamame or peanut butter smeared bread? Believe it nor not, soya beans/almonds/plain oats packed fiber/iron&roughly between 5-8 grams worth protein per serving.Other options like meat turkey, white fish(or oily variations such as salmon, mackerel,&trout) prove helpful when thirsting nutritious snack attack.^(who knew getting buff could be so tasty?!)

Conclusion

While we can’t outright neglect the long-standing efficiency of protein powders despite their taste, yes there are protein pills out there that would do justice to those horse-sized tablets.Nonetheless, due our non-scientific understanding,we typically won’t find whey or other proteins on shelves lining up alongside multivitamins and compressed sugar blocks. The potential risks towards health should vitamins fail to erode in one’s system could serverely impair your calorie management or bowel movements. So while it might be more tedious than just popping a huge succulent tablet,it seems this may not yet be part of human manufacturing capability.
