Geek.Kon 2007 was a huge success, but with some of the founders graduating and moving on from Madison I wasn't sure if we would see a year two. To my delight, a link just arrived in my e-mail box alerting me to the trailer for Geek.Kon.08. The trailer, a clever play on Lord of the Rings, acts as the official announcement for the convention which attracted more than 2000 to the University of Wisconsin last year. This year the event is planned for September 27 through 28 and they already have some preliminary information available on the aught-eight website for cosplay, LAN parties, and miniatures. One can also take part in pre-Geek-Kon discussions in the forums.
