Mad Rollin Dolls: Fire Marshall Reduces Fast Forward Capacity from 1000 to 600

mrd041208.jpgJust in time for tonight's Mad Rollin' Dolls Semi-Finals the Fire Marshall has reduced the capacity at Fast Forward, the Dolls' skate rink, from 1000 to 600. This new capacity includes skaters, volunteers, Fast Forward staff, and audience. It also means they won't be selling tickets at the door (UPDATE: after calculating the tickets pulled from outlets early yesterday there will be some tickets available at the door, so get there early. Also, tickets will be on the shuttle bus leaving from the High Noon to go to the bout at 5:30 p.m.) and they may not be able to let in press (don't worry, Dane101 will still be covering the bout)! Zoinks! Damn you Smoky the Bear and your...safety. From the Dolls:

Mad Rollin' Dolls fans have been packin' the rink this season, and we love them for it. In fact, we're so popular we finally got noticed by the authorities. The Fire Marshall says we can only let 600 people in at Fast Forward. That's 600 people total including fans, skaters, and staff.

This makes us very sad because we love each and every one of our fans. If you already have a ticket for the bout Saturday, April 12, show up early to be sure you're one of the 1st 600 in the door.

If you don't have a ticket for the bout be sure to get one for finals on May 10!

Because we have to make sure we don't have go over capacity in the building, we're pulling tickets from all sales outlets Friday afternoon.

We're so sorry. We want to share the joy of derby with everyone in the known universe. But if you do get shut out, just head on down to the High Noon for the after party.

Oh yeah and White People

Oh yeah and White People can't dance and they all wear their socks up to their knees. Also did you hear that Asian people are good at math, Jews have all the money, and Black people enjoy fried chicken.

I just checked with a couple of my Black friends and they do indeed like Roller Derby...and fried chicken, but it is fried chicken after all how can you not get on board with fried chicken.
