Building a better snowman (errr...cat). Can you top this?

Post by dane101 on 2/26/2007 11:11am

snowcat2022607.jpgSnowmen are popping up all around Madison now that we have some proper packing snow on the ground. Dane101 received these images in our email box this morning and it inspired us to have a competition. Can you top this 15-foot tall Snowcat built by the All-Weather Ultimate Frisbee team in Reynolds Park? Send pictures of your snowpeople, animals, and other things to (editor (at) dane101.com) and we'll pop them up as they come in. Adam Heidke wrote in his email:

Here's pics of the 15ft tall Egyptian Snowcat Thingy that the sunday frisbee crew built today. We used all of our strength and engineering mastery to put it together. But mostly just Pirate's brute strength and Paul's uncanny "parts" gathering ability. I think we did a bang-up job. :)

Next week we'll build a Snowdog to chase it.

The second picture features the builders and helps give some perspective as to the actual size: Tim, Adam, Paul, Andrew (Pirate), Dave, Dave (big jim), Kevin, and passerby Stacy who supplied the carrot nose and brown egg eyes.

I saw a cute snowman on the west side that had an umbrella hat on. I'll see if I can find a photo of it.
