May 3, 2005 Ray Fisher, City Clerk Dear Mr. Fisher: According to Madison General Ordinance 2.40(11)(e) “Any person who believes a violation has occurred may file a written inquiry with the City Clerk who shall refer the matter to the City Attorney.” Please consider this a formal written inquiry and refer it to the City Attorney to investigate this matter. The Gialamas Company was not registered as a principal in 2004 or 2005. There are no lobbying expense reports on the city’s website for this time period. However, I note the following appearances and lobbying contacts that are identifiable to me: July 12, 2004 – Plan Commission January 5, 2005 – Urban Design Commission Based on the information above and my belief that additional lobbying activities have occurred since Alderperson Skidmore appeared in support of the project, I believe that further lobbying activities have taken place and I hereby request that you determine what lobbying activities took place and which individuals were lobbyists in accordance with our current laws in place since 2001. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call (REMOVED) or e-mail (REMOVED) me regarding this matter. Sincerely, Brenda K. Konkel |
