Having narrowly escaped the unemployment line we now take you to our ticket hero writing up his resume and writing this column which he thinks can exemplify his skill in multi-tasking. Combining both pop and punk would normally pigeon hole a band in the ever so pitiful category of…well Pop-Punk but The Gusto bring you back to a time when such a distinction didn’t want me decapitate an ex-roomate. The Gusto manage to resurrect the Pop sensibility of The Ramones without coming off as a throw-back, but incorporate the hooks that made Rancid a T-Shirt any kid with pimples could get at a Hot Topic. I recommend this band highly and champion them as one of the few that are trying to bring REAL punk music back in the fold
