Okkervil River and the Walkmen join forces in Madison

How has your Madison show going been this year? Waiting for something blockbuster? Well then, you might want to hurry and get those tickets for Okkervil River at the Barrymore on September 14. True Endeavors has just announced that the Walkmen show scheduled for that same night at the Annex will now be merged with the Okkervil show at the Barrymore creating a night of music of Voltronic proportions. Both bands will be sharing equal time on the stage and no other bands are scheduled to perform. Either of these bands alone would have been solid choices for the Barrymore. Tickets are already on sale.

Meanwhile, and completely unrelated, The Flaming Lips have finally finished filming the long anticipated Christmas on Mars.
