Today I walked a mile with Hanson

I hung out with Hanson today. Well, I walked with them and a few hundred other people from the Barrymore to Yahara Place Park and back. I met and conversed with Hanson fans, who are... well, nuts. Nuts about Hanson. And the fact that they have such dedicated fans makes what they're doing lately, raising awareness about poverty and AIDS in Africa, more amazing. There are a ton of people out there that will actually listen to what they say, and hopefully do something about it.

The guys in the band seemed very nice and were very cordial with the huge crowd of adoring fans. I've never seen a band do something like this: actually go out, before a show, and hang out, walk, and talk with their fans. And Zac actually walked barefoot, as you can see below.

The girl in the first picture here was showing me one of her three Hanson tattoos. I met mothers, fathers, and entire families that liked Hanson. One woman reckoned that this would probably be her 20th or so Hanson show. Another girl told me that today would be her 30th show. The remembering of this was accompanied by a short dance.

As we walked through the near East neighborhood, people came out to see what the commotion was, and ask what was going on. I never thought I'd say it but I hung with Hanson today and it was kinda fun.
