Tim B.O.R.D., a.k.a. TJ Jingles, a.k.a. Tim Budziszewski, was one of many performers to show off his talents at the February Album Writing Month showcase on Thursday night. Tim and a number of other Madisonians (as well as hundreds worldwide) managed to write 14 songs in 28 days. We captured the below video of Tim performing a tribute to the cult television show Firefly and one of the shortlived shows most beloved characters, Hoban 'Wash' Washburne. Wash is the pilot of Serenity, the ship that carries the rag tag crew through space. The song also calls on Joss Whedon to correct what some fans believe was an injustice. Do you agree with Tim? Was it an injustice or a necessary plot development? Now that "Drive" has been cancelled and Nathan Fillion (who played Captain Malcolm Reynolds) is looking for work again, will they finally bring the series back? No one knows, but this song is definitely a quirky and touching tribute. "Leaf on the wind" indeed.
