Dane101 Videos: Killdozer Live at Touch and Go 25th Anniversary (plus bonus videos from Shellac and Man or Astroman)

[inline:1]After a decade of dormancy the swamp rock, anti-intellectual, slow punk of Killdozer was heard for one last time this weekend. The three founding members, Michael Gerald, Bill Hobson and Dan Hobson, dug deep and pulled out a unrelenting barrage of the brutal sound that is credited for helping Butch Vig develop his production style in the 80s before he eventually would go on to define grunge in the 90s. Gerald's vocal growl was unaffected by time and age (the band released their debut LP Intellectuals are Shoeshine Boys of the Ruling Elite in 1983) and Bill Hobson used most every guitar theatric in the book including playing with his teeth and over the back.

Below we have a video of Killdozer performing part of their final song. Video ends with a fan getting a little overzealous and being dragged off by security. Also included are three bonus videos from non-Madison bands. One of Steve Albini's Shellac and two others of Man...or Astroman. The Killdozer, Shellac and first Man...or Astroman videos are courtesy of fazecalor on YouTube. The second Man...or Astroman video is courtesy of me.
