It must be just about time for the students to roll back into town because business at the local music venues is heating up. Seemed like a good time to once again make up a list of national acts that will be passing through town. This is a list of some of Dane101's picks for the next two and a half months. Originally the intention was to comment on every show, but as the list grew we realized that would be insanely time consuming. Laziness prevails! We did link to most of the websites for the acts if you want to learn more. List below the fold, and of course if we missed something we do have a comments section, let us know and we will slot the show in. August 2: The Eels start off three months of solid music with a show at the Annex. August 2: Has it already been 77 days since the last Madison chapter of Turbo Jugend held an event? In order to secure the Presidentship and control of the chapter the mighty denim clad hordes are hosting a ferocious show de force at the King Club. Rat City Riot out of San Diego will be joined by Madison's Brainerd. August 3: Ween is sold out at the Orpheum Theatre! August 7: Of Montreal makes a triumphant return to Madison after a previously packed to the gills show at Club 770 earlier this year. They'll be at Barrymore Theatre with the Minders. August 8: Ditty Bops at the Barrymore. The peppy duo is currently touring the country on their bikes! Check out their tour journal here.
