Much Ado about Whedon at The Wisconsin Film Fest 2013

The announcement was quietly tucked at the end of a UW-Madison press release, but it's true: the 2013 Wisconsin Film Festival next month will host the Midwest premier of director Joss Whedon’s newest film "Much Ado About Nothing." The film is scheduled to play Thursday, April 18, tentatively at Sundance Cinema, with exact time and location to be announced, with the rest of the festival schedule, on March 14. The film's theatrical release is set for June 7.
This adaptation of William Shakespeare's play was filmed in Whedon's own house over a period of only 12 days, and stars some of his most frequent collaborators, including Nathan Fillion, Amy Acker, and Alexis Denisof. For Angel fans, the reunion of Acker and Denisof (Fred and Wesley) as the play's romantic leads adds poignancy to the otherwise spritely trailer.
Dane101 is working to put together a Whedonesque Trivia Night in tandem with this screening – stay tuned!
Those looking for a chance to get early dibs on tickets to this and other Wisconsin Film Fest films can attend the Crystal Ball, a benefit held at Hilldale Mall next Friday, March 15. This is a day after the full schedule of the festival is released, but a day before tickets go on sale to the general public. Door prizes will include chances to secure tickets early.
