1. Mickey’s Tavern :: 1524 Williamson Street 2. High Noon Saloon ::701 East Washington 3. Paradise Lounge :: 119 W Main Street 4. The Weary Traveler :: 1201 Williamson Street 5. Genna’s Cocktail Lounge :: 105 W. Main St. There were many close races in the favorite places to catch a drink category. The lone exception was Mickey’s Tavern, an establishment that received votes from nearly every entrant. The High Noon Saloon, which takes number one in a category that we haven’t released as of this writing took number two. Following in a very close third is the Paradise, or as the regulars lovingly refer to it, the ‘dise. Back over on Williy Street, the Weary takes number four. The Weary is a great place for food, drink and board game playing. Closing out the list is one of the most likely places to see politicians out for a drink, Genna’s. Interesting fact about four out of five of these venues is they have some of the most unique and diverse jukeboxes in town. Other contendors for your liver: Amy's Café, Angelic, Bar Next Door, Brass Ring, Bristled Boar, Bus Stop, Caribou, Come Back Inn, Comedy Club, Crystal Corner, Echo Tap, Essen Haus, Glass Nickel, Great Dane, Harmony, Hawk's, Hemingway Lounge, Horseshoe Bar, Inferno, Jingles Coliseum Bar, Kimia, Lava Lounge, Le Tigre, Maduro, Nat Spill, Nick's, Opus, Paul's Club, Shamrock, Silver Dollar, The Klinic, Toby's, Union Terrace, Vintage, and the Wisco. |
