Live from Charlotte: An interview with the Sisterhood of State Senators

While walking the circuit at the Democratic National Convention, Scott Foval came across Ohio State Senator Nina Turner (D-Cleveland), Illinois State Senator Toi Hutchinson (D-Chicago Heights), and Wisconsin State Senator Lena Taylor (D-Milwaukee) sharing a celebratory moment. He interviewed the three up and coming State Senators from Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin about what unites them as Democrats beyond state lines and the divisiveness they see in the Republican Party.

Some highlights include:

Turner talking about what her grandmother means when she says all a leader needs is "a wishbone, a backbone, and a jawbone."

Taylor explaining why she briefly considered donating money to the election campaign of Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Hutchinson on the contrast between the Democratic and Republican conventions.
