wispolitics031806.gifThis weekend marks the first WisPolitics.com blog summit. It is a summit where bloggers will gather to blog about bloggers talking about blogging and most likely blog about what the others blogged about while they were blogging about bloggers talking about blogging. Of course, bloggers who aren't able to attend will still be able to particpate by blogging about the blogs of bloggers who are blogging about the bloggers talking at the Summit, a.k.a. Blummit. Phew.

It occurs to me that the word blog is becoming to bloggers what the word smurf was to Smurfs.

I saw the bloggingest blog the other day. It was bloggingly bloggy.

Sorry - back to the Blummit.

As our neighbor of the week, Jenna, blogs on her blog Right Off the Shore, many Madison bloggers will be taking part in the Blummit.

Madison Blogebrity Ann Althouse will be giving the State of Blogging Keynote address. I prefer to call it the Blog of Blogging Blognote address.

Madison Blogitician Rep. Mark Pocan will be joining a blogscussion with Ed Garvey, Radio Blogger Charlie Sykes, GOP Blogategist Brian Fraley on the importance of blogging on the 2006 blogection.

UW-Madison Political Scientist Ken Mayer (who doesn't appear to be a blogger) will be joining Marquette blogessor John McAdams and, Jessica McBride in a talk on how histoblogging will see blogging.

All of this will culminate in WisPolitics staff giving an award to the "Wiscosnin political blogger of the year."

Of course, we already know its going to be Ann Altmouse for recognizing the importance of bloggers blogging about their own blogginess. Doesn't it make you abloglutely blizzy?!?! Blogtacular!!!

The Blummit will be held March 18 from 1 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Country Springs Hotel in Waukesha (blog from the waterslides!).
