I just don't get it. We have an incredible music scene in Madison and now pretty much no press about it. Rick's Cafe provided an invaluable service to musicians in the area. But apparently we couldn't return the favor--and that sucks. What needs to happen for people to get off their duffs and support their local arts communities? If someone could figure out the answer to that, I'd buy 'em the drink of their choice before they got swallowed up by the swarm of randy and thankful local musicians likely to form a line at their door.
