The Wisconsin Stand-Up Comedy Project presents the contest to end all competition between local comedians, the “Funniest Comic in Madison 2005” semi-finals, held at the High Noon Saloon on Tuesday, November 29th, 2005. Perhaps this goal’s grandiose nature shows the energy behind this competition too well; WiSUC knows that there are performers out there dying for stage time, desperate for the chance to show off their comedic talent. As this semi-finals competition leads up to the grand finale extravaganza featuring the finals between the top seven comics and music from local favorite The Apologists, there’s much to look forward to as WiSUC’s 2005 season draws to a close.

For the semi-finals, we will be graced by WiSUC’s favorite house musician, Tamara Backus, who will be accompanied by the lovely Ariel McClane. Those two are a true treasure and are not to be missed. Now, all of you budding stars, get going! WiSUC looks forward to seeing the great comedians and the even greater audience members at our semi-finals in just a few weeks!
