Breakfast Links: October 11, 2012

Today is October 10, 2012.

* OWN: One Wisconsin Now files complaint with Federal Election Commission over Rep Paul Ryan's use of his congressional campaign's assets to fund his vice presidential campaign (h/t Uppity Wisconsin)

* dane101: Second former Walker aide to enter guilty plea in campaign felony charge

* BC: Detroit reporter Terry Camp challenges Rep Ryan on gun control and tax cuts

* Althouse: "After Obama's big rally yesterday, I'd like to see Wisconsin's own Paul Ryan do an event at the University of Wisconsin here in Madison. I'd like it, first, to give the University a chance to demonstrate its neutrality as between the 2 parties, and, second, because we have a tradition here of "sifting and winnowing" ideas, and Paul Ryan could present the ideas that are an alternative to what Obama (and Baldwin and Pocan) are purveying, and he could do it in a way that reaches the younger audience."

* CT [paywall]: Madison and Dane County at odds over plans for the homeless

* C3K: The driver who fell asleep at the wheel and killed a bicyclist hasn't been charged with or cited for anything

* Cieslewicz: "[The proposed bus fare increase] will be an uphill fight for Paul [Soglin] just as it was for me. But Paul hasn't thought it through and hasn't laid any groundwork. He faces a council stocked with members who got elected just last year promising to oppose a fare increase. If the mayor wants his fare increase, he has to make a stronger case for it than he has so far."

* FL: "So Madison.com recently ran a couple of citizen columns on the situation in Madison’s Meadowood neighborhood, spurred on by Ace Hardware abandoning the neighborhood. Since I’ve commented on the issue before, here’s my thoughts on the two columns"
